This is partly why I subscribe. Also it was cheap as chips when I signed up. £15 every six months!

Legends was in today, but still no Avengers. I guess they either sold them all almost immediately (no chance, they hang around all month those comics) or they aren't getting that issue at all. Hmm.

Really enjoyed X-Men this month. I know the story is basically one big battle, but it was a story I could understand for once and had some great art.
Still no sign of Avengers. Will resort to eBay I think.

Ta, but I think I'm ok. Got a watch on a BIN that's pretty much retail plus postage.
I need to sub really. There are some good deals currently.
Ralph, how bashed do your sub copies get? I'm assuming being Panini there isn't much protection. My DWMs are always creased or torn somehow.

They do get bashed as they are slung in a thin A4 envelope.

New US format style bookazine/tpb ala Thanos Quest. Miles Morales: Spider-Man - collecting the first seven issues of what I think was the last series. Just in time for Into the Spider-Verse.

Picked it up - enjoyable stuff. Again - Bendis on a solo book is fine. Bendis on a team book is not.

I am once again considering my Panini buying. I'm not sure £4.50 represents decent value for comics I only want to read 2/7 of, which places MWOM and Marvel Legends at risk. Legends was probably going to be a temporary buy anyway through to the end of Secret Empire. MWOM .... well Champions is the only one that really interests me though I'll look at Black Panther now I know JRjr drew it. Their "rotate the lead strip to cash in on the films policy" is annoying me too. The other problem is space. I haven't got any left under the bed to store them. Comixology sales, at 69p an issue, may be a better option going forward even for Avengers & X-Men. I junked Spider-Man for the current volume and have been reading that digital only in trades, and have been buying X-Men, Avengers, Champions and Thor in the same way too. MWOM hovers on the kill zone..... Probably safe for Secret Empire, which I've not bought the Spider-man issues, and until the crossover featuring one of their titles and another book which follows shortly after. But after that .... The choice may decide if MWOM gets the shove or not from me. I'm going as far as the crossover between Avengers & Champions but how much further..... I think the moment may now have come. There's probably room for one more issue in the Avengers/MWOM/Legends Box.....

I'm still struggling with the squarebound spines. To see the full page it needs creases and broken spines, and I just don't like that. I keep looking at the super cheap comixology trade sales you post and think, what chance is there I'll ever reread all these Panini books? I can wait a year or two to read the stories if it means getting six issue collections for a couple of quid. After not being able to find last month's Avengers I haven't bought this month's either and I'm pondering if I just stop and wait for another Avengers sale.

Blimey, that No Surrender book is a weighty tome for £5.50. When you look at a price comparison like that it makes no sense not to read that way. Collections would also give me more of a chance to keep track of the stories. I think I'd have to keep buying X-Men simply because I have been for so long, but maybe Avengers and Legends I'll go digital.

Trades have spines too so maybe digital is the way to go for you?
Quite enjoying Hawkeye in MWOM and the Ditko Dr Strange reprints.

Trades have spines too so maybe digital is the way to go for you? Yes we've had that conversation before; trades are different. They have superior, stronger binding and can stand a read. They feel like books. The cheap binding on the Panini comics means they aren't a proper comic and they aren't a trade either. They feel like if you open the pages too far that they'll fall out. Trades don't do that.

The Paninivision FB page shows that Spidery-Man has jumped to £4.99. Oh dear.
Really, subbing is the way to go. For the three titles I kept on, I'm only paying £15 every six months.

Mmm. Now that I check my sub copy of the most recent Marvel Legends I see it also has £4.99 on the cover. I hadn't noticed as there was no mention in the Editorial!

That's another big jump not that long after the last one. Urg. Comixology sale time I think. I may sub to X-Men purely because I've been buying it so long.
