Half the price of a Hachette trade... Not a good deal. Still a better deal than Marvel US where 3 issues would cost me £10.50. Paninivision at a fiver has 3 and a half US issues. -Ralph

In the context of the immediate marketplace it's competing in, it's not a great deal, but yes against US comic prices still a bargain.

Picked it up, very enjoyable - some classic Claremont/Cockrum as well as more modern Carol.
Only one complaint. In the feature where it talks about who else has been called Captain Marvel, there is no mention of Genis-Vell.
BOOOO!

Genis is the best of the Captain Marvels. Despite Marvel's better efforts in recent years (and they have pushed her hard) I still find Danvers a bit...dull. Now Ms Marvel (Kamala Khan), she is a great character.

X-Men is now on the Astonishing X-Men book by Charles Soule where Professor X comes back (sort of) and faces off against that plucky up and comer The Shadow King.

I've been non plussed.
I think the X-Men is meandering and is completely lost and bereft of any clear purpose and point. The current run is more of the same sadly, only hoping at the end of this Age of X-Man crossover something changes.

Isn't it still in the middle of No Surrender though?
Haven't been able to find X-Men this month. The hunt continues in the new knowledge that it should be in Panini's back issue shop next month.

Avengers Universe reboots to a #1 yet again next month. -Ralph Tie in with Endgame audience I guess ? Nope. Panini has got in the way of re-starting their titles with a new #1 roughly every 18 months, usually (though not always) when storylines end. The time for a #1 to tune in with Endgame would have been last month. Besides, Disney don't advertise comics when their films come out anyway so I doubt any audience assumes licencee Panini will do anything if they weren't already aware. -Ralph

Time for a clearout. I keep MWOM issues but otherwise out they go! I mostly use Paninivision as reading copies to keep up rather than comics to store. No room!
