I didn't realise we were all playing Boom Blox. Yeah fuck the shooting bits but the rest is great.

I've only played it the once, but went through all the multiplayer games. Keeping an eye out for it on the cheap though, as I'd like to play it properly.

A warning for anyone thinking of buying the new Tomb Raider game - a bug has been found that may prevent it being completed.

Due to Curry's current 'price match plus 10% off' offer - i managed to get Boom Blox for 14.93 last week - as Asda were doing it on the cheap on their website.

I got it for £20 in Grainger Games in Newcastle. I'd been waiting for it drop in price since it came out - the cheapest I'd seen it around release was about £32. It's good but not full-price-game good.

I've got some stuff on Wii Ware recently-
Cubello - Basically a 3d version of Puzzle Bobble / Bust-a-Move. Interesting if you like simple games of this nature.
Bomberman Blast - Bomberman with no single player game, hurrah!! Does what it says on the tin, but despite owning a Bomberman game for GameCube (and thus am able to get a multiplayer fix already on my Wii), this WiiWare title supports 8 players using 4 Wii Remotes and 4 Gamecube Controllers. Pretty sweet! It also supports online play with guests, but apparantly this has a load of people playing with idle guests so they can get easy kills and boost their rankings.

If you only get one WiiWare game in your life- make it World of Goo - probably the best game to grace the Wii in the last 12 months.

World of Goo is available for PC though (although misses the 4 player co-op mode) and is going to be graced with expansion packs as well as having a level editor.

There's extra levels on the Wii versions as well - for those whose PCs aren't up to scratch (like mine) it's a welcome addition to my games roster.

World of Goo is top of my list once I'm done with Mass Effect (which may be a while)
That Bomberman game sounds sweet. Worth a purchase even if I have Bomberman '93 on the VC already?

Dunno... What multiplayer features are in the old one and are you likely to find more than 5 people to play??

There's a list of multiplayer (up to 4 players) on the wikipedia page.

Erm, that's the SNES game, we're talking about Bomberman '93 which is PC-Engine. Also- I'm more thinking about different levels/powerups/modes. Such as the WiiWare game has 3 new weapons (Bomb Change, Rocket, Shield) large and small stages and modes like Air Raid and King.

Bomberman '93 has up to 5 players. OK so I just looked up Bomberman on wikipedia and discovered that the first Bomberman game was released on the Speccy as... ERIC AND THE FLOATERS

The multiplayer in '93 is pretty basic. You choose how many players, what you want to play up to, then the map and keep playing until someone wins. You can't even swap to a different map between rounds. I doubt I'll ever have much cause for more than 5 players but the other modes sound interesting. Also team-ganking randoms online might be fun!

EGADS.
Took me ages to track down Pikmin 2 and now Nintendo have released it with new Wii specific controls (WOO!). Must get. Anyone want a Gamecube version? LOL.

The new Wii-Control range Pikmin is the original - not Pikmin 2 - So you might want to hold onto it until they release the sequel. Or wait till Pikmin 3 is announced!

Yeah that's what I said - might be best to wait until they release the sequel. S'all good.
I got a composite cable for the Wii - as my HD setup was particularly fuzzy. What a difference it has made! So much brighter and clearer. Some jaggie issues in certain games - but that's to be expected with such a jump in crisp visuals. Only £6 from play.com - pretty incredible.
There are loads of games coming this year for the Wii, can't waaaaait.

I bought it sans hand-cannons, convinced I'd pick them up next payday. I'm not entirely sure I like Overkill over 2&3 on the Wii. I've only played 3 chapters so far, so hopefully it'll pick up.

It's not so much the gameplay (which is obviously just shoot zombies!), but the presentation and humour is just so over the top that it's funny.

I continue to be amazed and frightened by the inventiveness of some people. Someone has managed to hack the Wii to use a USB hard disk as a storage device.
It's good news if you're pushing against the space limitations of the Wii SD cards and need some extra space for VC and Wiiware gaming goodness.
The bad news is that it will probably make it ridiculously easy to copy rental games without buying them. I expect sales of the 'hardcore' games will fall further as a result and we'll be forced to play rubbish exercise games for the rest of our lives.

So there was some pretty good stuff announced at e3 for the Wii. Wii Sports Resort looks great and Super Mario Galaxy 2 is welcome news. I'm most excited about the new Metroid though:
