Is it worth using a google drive or something to make backup copies of the images we use? I will need to switch all my flickr hosted images to my one drive when I eventually reach their free limit.

That'd be a lot of images and I don't fancy that job!
The vast majority of images are on my twitter account - I can show people how to use Twitter for images - or my Flickr account - which I pay for now and can host anything that needs to be. Neither of them are going anywhere

Nah, it had been bugging me for a bit as that was a really useful twitter account to link to and it's loss was a blow. Does anyone recall the circumstances? Thankfully TF_PR has picked up the slack and is worth a follow if you're on the Twitter. The solution suddenly occurred to me yesterday! It isn't ideal and I may well upgrade it down the line once I've finished gathering the images

Ah, that's interesting, both are the same size for me with Option 1 but the left photo is slightly smaller - not quite as high - with Option 2.

and also fixed a long standing problem with a certain sort of FB link. Of course I get into bed for my afternoon nap, think of an easier way of doing the bit above that looses 6 columns and identifies just where I went wrong a year ago that introduced that bug! So up I get .....

Oh that's interesting, it works as a link but proboards won't embed it.

So middle two links are bust and thus no embedding. Not 100% surprised
Last link however will take you to the specific comment and highlight it, no user ID necessary.
Do people know how to get the link for a comment out of FB?

APP: under each post is a share button. Click that and you get a range of options including something like More Options. Click that and there's a button for Copy Link
WEB: hover over the date/time of the post - 1 day ago, 3 hours ago etc - towards the top left of the post, just right of the poster's profile pic. Right Click, copy link. The same works for specific replies to posts

The posts are there when you click the links, unsure why they're not displaying right here.

The posts are there when you click the links, unsure why they're not displaying right here. Because anyone and anything not associated with facebook is forbidden by that user. It's not there if you're not a facebook member.

Not sure you're quite right there, they're not there for me and Burns who are.
And I've linked to other posts by that user today that are visible.

Phil's links never work for me, no idea why. Everyone else's do. And when the post is just links, as above, I have no idea what it's about.

Ben, is it the twitter links, fb links or both?
The fb links embed the posts using forum functionality, there's not a lot I can do about them except try to remember to put some text in too!
