Wish I could get one like that without the G2 logo on his chest. Somehow that one looks more G1 to me than the original one. I held off buying the first one, but this one will be on the ever growing list.

As someone who deeply loves G2, the G2 logo on his chest just makes it even better!

After discovering the ability to buy books from Amazon Japan recently I had a nose at the toys. I know as a rule Amazon's Japanese arm don't ship toys to the UK, and I tried a fair few to experiment, but this fella gets as far as checkout confirmation at the moment with no problems. £35 shipped with import VAT prepaid. Course there's no guarantee that they won't realise and fix the hole before he comes out, but on the other hand it's a good price. www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00S4DZ9LK/

I hope the presence of a sticker sheet means the G2 chest logo isn't preapplied. My Amazon Japan preorder is still holding...

Mine arrived in the UK today according to tracking.
No info on whether it has been picked for customs, so should get it next week.

Excellent. Amazon are saying mine will ship next Saturday... if it works.
They're missing a trick with this. Takara Devastator is a square £100 from them plus shipping, but they won't ship it here. Such a shame.

Okay, well G2 Bee shipped from Amazon Japan with no problems. So it's a viable way to get that figure cheapish (£36 all in), but I can't find anything else that will ship apart from the various Generations books they still have in stock.

Do you have to create a new account or can you use a .com or .co.uk one? And then is it basically the same as other amazon sites?

I think I just created an account the same as any other amazon site. I didn't have any problems. If you use Chrome as a web browser just right click on the page and pick translate to English - it does a very good job. The setup is identical to .co.uk and .com

Putting Andu's two toys beside each other it becomes screamingly obvious the Mp toy is meant to be Goldbug. The colour matching of the 'gold' is very close!

i think if it was intended to be Goldbug, they'd have given it a new, blue head. I think it was intended to be G2, with maybe a backdoor nod to Goldbug. Their obcession with sunbow accuracy means they'd never consider doing Goldbug from this without a MASSIVE retool to give it the hood.
Painting him shiny gold is the only alternative open to them without it being vac-metallized like the original.
But then they also gave him a jetpack, which he never had. So what do I know?
