Fixit is a minicon and neither of his two toys have minicon ports I believe 4 points to blue Otside of the range of what we're dealing with as is Cyclonus' Nightstick which is Universe 2 originally. Oooh fair enough, I still claim Energon High Wire though! What one were you thinking of?

Fixit is a minicon and neither of his two toys have minicon ports I believe 4 points to blue I think there's a grey area with him. He's definitely called a minicon in the series, but his toys aren't minicons. The Legion certainly doesn't have the I bar hole. I think that's the show pigeon-holing him because of his size when the toy range wasn't quite thinking that way? He doesn't function like the other minicons do because he doesn't have a Deployer parent.

Well hasbro decreed a few years back that everything small and partnery is a minicon. All nebulons going forward are minicons. All cassettes are minicons. I don't know if they retcon actual G1 toys into minicon category, but certainly all post G1 (universe Nightstick, universe Ravage, the micromaster/targetmaster hybrid homages with the gen legends, gen arcana) are all classified as minicons. If it's a little guy, it's automatically a minicon. And unlike most of their more recent decrees (aligned is the only "real" continuity, the 13 are multiversal singularities, primus/unicron exist in every continuity no matter what writers say), hasbro doesn't seem to have gone back on this.

Yeah, Fixit doesn't fit that bracket. He's a step larger and he isn't a partner to anyone. Legions aren't minicons.

Clip evidence! C? I? I've no idea. All my Armada toys are in the loft. Wait, didn't they have pegs with a hole in the middle? that isn't a C or an I! Anyway, this is what's on Grimlock's shoulder. The connector is the bit on the circular rim, not the centre. Returning to this particular pressing issue, now I've got one of these little buggers I can't see any 'I' shaped hole on him for the purposes of fixing him to a larger figure. Nothing like the peg on Grim's shoulder.

Looks like you're right on that - they're definitely on his knees. Thing is Jetstorm definitely doesn't have anything like that on it. All his armour pieces have different shaped holes. In fact having looked at the others I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that Divebomb is the only minicon with that shaped hole. Which is really quite odd.

These minicons are beginning to interest me. I've finally removed the eight bits from the sprue that attach to Jetstorm, and the first thing I would say is that complete examples of these toys in years to come will be as rare as rocking horse poo, because I nearly lost two bits just trying to cut them off the plastic. Eight tiny bits of plastic in the hands of kids? everything about these goes against what's logical - these are more easily swallowable than guns. anyway - each piece has a unique connection peg so they will only fit in one hole. Which makes me think that every minicon has unique connectors, which means Divebomb is the only one that will go on Grimlock's shoulder.
Don't get it. Why even both to put the peg there so he can connect to a Decepticon? these minicons are designed to attach to the launcher - no where else. Drift has no mount points for Jetstorm to attach to him. It's a really weird system.

I have an uncontrollable desire for small but complete displays of interesting looking robots. Season One of RiD just needs Warrior Bumblebee, Strongarm, Sideswipe; Legion Fixit; Deployer Drift; Minicon Jetstorm and Slipstream; and THIS LOVELY BIG OPTIMUS and you've got all the major Autobot characters.
I am going to have to summon huge reserves of 'be sensible' power to stay away from this. It's a Prime with a trailer! how rare is that! even if the trailer is his legs... err...

Pinwig, come about to zero nine zero mark zero five, we are coming in to cover you. *launches spread of plasma torpedoes and antimatter-warheaded missiles* I do rather like that Prime's toasting fork. It is rather useful, assuming that he is more outdoors and campfiry than some of his predecessors... Karl

1 No it isn't and 2 why bring it up in the TF Adventures thread? Ralph's response to my response to Karl's comment about the big-ass Optimus Prime being all outdoors-y. Of course. Naturally, it made me think of this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU2ftCitvyQ
