A fine Devastating pelvic thrust there. No wonder Superion looks surprised.

A pelvic thrust to make the great Rik Mayall himself proud.

Andu has been peer-pressured into pre-ordering UW Devvy. I hope he joins me in flipping the head to 'two eyes' vision

Interesting.
I'm also finding some of the 3P shoulder extensions that we've seen interesting as well. The shoulders have always be a concern for me.

From the pictures I've seen, when you pose Devastator's arms, Scavenger and Bonecrusher's tracks stay in position against Devastator's body, and it makes his upper arms look really narrow and skinny. But the two different 3P add-on sets each have a shoulder section that seem to move the shoulders out, giving him better looking upper arms. Don't know if what I've just described makes any sense!

I'm wondering with this one as it seems far more available than Metroplex was, if it won't actually price drop on Amazon before they run out of stock.

It's pictures like this which caused Shockprowl's concern - that he doesn't seem to have proper shoulder joints - more a hinge right at the top. All the official pics are posed to disguise how thin the joint is.

Yes that's it!!! To Pinwig you listen! Wise, he is.
And that's the worst shot I've seen of the problem! God it looks terrible! Is the Takara version as bad?!

I think it'll be the same. They've only spoken about adding elbows to the individual robots; not changing anything in the actual mouldings beyond that. I don't think it's a deal breaker, but it's going to need careful posing to disguise.

The shoulders, as shown on those pictures above, are mounted too high. I don't think I've seen a pose with the arms turned forwards at the shoulders either!

The Perfect Effect kit is going to add in some blocks to improve articulation and make it look more solid: I don't think he'll be able to do this kind of rotation without 3P assistance but I expect there are review videos on YouTube by now exploring this problem. If you deem it a problem!

The arms there look too far away from the body. Am I remembering rightly that on one of the original arms (Scavenger?) the arm rotates and the tracks remain fixed while on the other (Bonecrusher?) the tracks move with the arm?

I can see what would irritate people.
I *can't* see if it would irritate me, though. Certainly it wouldn't be enough for me to risk a Perfect Effect purchase, though.

Looks fine to me. It's a toy, not a display piece.
But if it really bothers folk there will be 3P shoulder options, which is fine by me as you have to buy a CW or UW Devastator to use the extra bits anyway so everyone is happy.

It's certainly hard to criticise when you take a step back and think about what this actually is. It's astonishing. Who'd have thought it was ever possible?
