Gets worse with every new pic for me. There's something off-putting about the proportions and the plastic looks a little funky.

To be fair, theres a massive amount of mistransformation going on.
But it pains me the individual robots are so bad, hasbro won't show them off other than that one time with toyfair.

Takara have released a silhouette of Devastator and indvidual robot modes.
It does possibly look like at least one of them has had elbow joints added.
Could Takara be releasing something quite different? Maybe it'll be another case of Powermaster Primes simplified Hasbro release and Takaras diecast, retractable hands better release.
Or possibly even more extreme a scaled down version. I still think the lack of Scrapper elbows has as much to do with the joint not being strong enough to support Devastators weight as it does with saving money. Seems like a smaller Devastator would be lighter and able to get away with an elbox joint in the middle of the heel.

I think they're still looking pretty decent. And all seem to have elbow articulation. Isn't that what Takara was meant to have added? Or was it just that the previous stock photos were bad?

Scrapper doesnt. 2 or 3 of the others have elbows but on a voyager sized toy they are a bit ropey. Hell they'd be ropey on a deluxe.
