It eased off a bit and I was then feeling better mentally. Had 3-hour sleep after work. Then it got agonising again around 7am this morning.
Couple of planned trips now in doubt.

Better today so far, thankfully. We have a trip organised for Saturday so will see how that goes.
Doing some limited walking, short distances/time and naps. Not able to run again yet. Frustrated that the weight is piling back on.
Hope I am well enough the weekend after for a long planned Glasgow trip.

Some small improvement. Hopefully enough to get on a long bus journey tomorrow.
Weight gain is getting me down but hopefully I can work on that when more mobile on a regular basis.

Trying a couple of short hop bus journeys today. Bit of a struggle, currently. So frustrating.

Still in a lot of pain, restricting a lot of activities. I feel very disabled at the moment: not good for the head.

It's just not following the usual patterns. I miss going to the cinema and out for meals, which I have not been able to do of late. Also had to drastically reduce my usual amount of exercise. Hence my mental health going down.

Five hours of pain in the car so I could visit my parents today.
Thankfully a family member's health scare is not what it could have been.
Last few weeks have been so difficult.

Have caught a bug from Naomi. Fortunately she didn't have it as bad as me. I've had multiple times retching into a bin last night and been in bed all day. Starting to feel a bit better, but it has meant no RotB as planned today.

But then it got worse. Been given some antibiotics which will likely do hee-haw, but it's something to do.
Referred for a scan.

Suddenly felt much better all of yesterday. Best day in a couple of months and I thought maybe it was starting to pass.
Today is a real struggle though.
5th attempt to see ROTB cancelled in the cinema due to ill health. I give up!

Call to GP first thing tomorrow morning (says the leaflet). This is a fucking nightmare. I thought all of this stuff was way behind me. Two months ago I was feeling fitter than I had for a while and had even shed a few pounds. -Ralph

As was always obvious, the antibiotics did nothing as I once again go through the nhs farce of jumping through hoops when I know what the actual problem is but am being ignored. Like talking to walls. What I need is a physio but...no one listens. It's like 2016-2018 all over again.
Today was the most painful day yet. Had to say no to dinner out as I needed to lie down straight after work due to the pain.

Thankyou.
Yesterday was the best I had felt for months, but pain back today.
It's the way it has curtailed most of my exercise that is affecting me the most.

Management at work are going to see if they can persuade the disability folk to get me a special chair, which would be a big help. I don't want to go off sick. That would not help my head.
Not going out/lying down sleeping much of the time since late April has no efffect on the levels of pain so I am slowly trying to get back into my prior exercise habits and going back to the cinema etc. Difficult, but I need my mental health to get better.
The weight gain since I got ill again is really getting me down.
Only reading takes my mind off the pain completely. I have read dozens of books in the last 2.5 months.
Looking forwards to TF Nation. Working on the Toy-Fu stall and seeing chums will be great for my mental health. Starting studying again from mid-September will also help. I need to stay busy.

I had 4 great days in a row and dared to dream this might be finally passing...until around 3pm yesterday afternoon while lying down on a break. Just came back. Head imploded.

Yeah, I am here. Chronic pain calmed enough for me to manage the trip. Rather fatigued and also a bit wazoo on antobiotics for an ear infection! I'll be busy on the Toy-Fu stall.

One of my infrequent office visits today. Couple of hours to get there on train, tram and foot. I thought I would be ok but anxiety is through the roof this morning for reasons that escape me as nothing bad will happen.
And yet, I managed fine at a busy con at the weekend, other than an hour wobble on Sunday afternoon.

Unusual routine, having to talk to people you don't usually converse with in the flesh. All very unsettling. I'd be anxious. It'll pass once you get going. Onwards and upwards, gotta earn that toy money!
That's what I tell myself every day when the kids come barrelling through the door. That never fails to make me feel sick; it's never gone away.
