I still quite like the look of this. I mean, I haven't watched any of the live action movies since the first and I'm unlikely to prioritise going to see this, but based purely on the trailers I think it might be the one I'd most enjoy.
In all honesty, I enjoyed this trailer more than the Thor one everyone was gushing over yesterday.

I also have quite a good feeling for this. This is the first one to come out of the big writers' room thing isn't it? Maybe it is a direction change. No matter how you dress it up, evil Prime will be rubbish, but the Arthurian stuff I'm really intrigued by.

My brain is strangely wired. I saw the trailer, watched the scene of Prime talking to alien floating Tinkerbell and my brain just went "Why is Mia talking to Optimus Prime". Apparently I so strongly associate that actress's voice with "Humans" that my brain just has a default filing solution. (Of course, the robot connection doesn't help in this case does it?)

The thing I do like about this one is that it seems as though it will be an actual continuation of the last films plot which will be a first for the series that has given us 4 seperate origin stories and assoaciated plots in 4 films.
I also remain oddly happy to see Josh Dumal return, though they still need to bring back the two hackers from the first one.

Something that has been bothering me, from a fictional standpoint (i get the realworld reasons, but it's crashing the fiction for me), is that this seems like a post apocalyptic world, if we believe the trailers, right? So how come car companies are still milling out brand new top of the line high dollar muscle, sports, and supercars? Civilization is collapsing, people are scavenging on the streets, infrastructure is in ruins, but by gum Chevy is still putting out a brand new camero!

I don't think it is the world which is post-apocalyptic - the impression I got was that it was one particular city which was a ruined Downtown Militarized Zone, as a result of the "We'll kill them all!" battle way back in the third live-action film. It is just that our street rat new girl, and the inventor bloke happen to be hanging out in that neighbourhood quite a bit. (I suspect that the "if you could talk to your daughter what would you say to her?" line in the trailer is because she flounced off after the previous film and isn't talking to her Dad any more, rather than them being separated by some kind of mad-max environment.)

Holy sh*t is Michael Bay serious? ?? Please let this not be treated as a spoiler, I foresee months of making fun of this awful decision! {Spoiler}

Oh my god! that's Alnwick Castle!
Also, I'd read about the 'voice'. Odd, yes, but then see also... oh... that one with the green skirt in the last film.
edit: and Drift.

I'm quite taken with these. There's something in this idea. Not that the Bay will have done anything productive with it, but there's a Man of Iron vibe to this that really appeals.

Those pictures are really good 2007 GMC Ironhide truck in an 1815 painting. Like that really looks out of place. They should have got Guido to retrofit him.

I keep seeing the posters on bus stops. They really are too grey and dark - the logo isn't clear at all.

I keep forgetting this is out next week until I see things like those bus shelter ads! I am unsure if this is because it coincides with Edinburger Film Festival or if five times into this series the novelty has worn off a bit. It may not help that TTC's aside, the toy range is so absurdly expensive that I do not have the usual feelings of hype and excitement coming over me this time.

Oh God I don't want to see it, I DON'T!!!
It's going to hurt me again.
How did Micheal Bay get involved in Transformers in the first place? And why wont he leave it alone?! Micheal, your Transformers movies are rubbish.

I am quite excited. I really like the concept and want to see the big Knight figures in the historical setting. I'm expecting the story eventually to be a let down, but I'm up for the visual spectacle.
Only bugger is the weekend it comes out I'm at a concert on the Saturday, so will have to risk spoilers unless I can summon the energy to see it on the Friday.

What might help it is that we have just had a rubbish King Arthur film in cinemas so by comparison it can only be better!

Bay is doing the partnership with China companies again - could it end up the same has TF4 when they didn't advertise them so they sue'd them.

I have been able to properly asses the bus stop art, its not dark and moody, its a fricking shadow, even with sun on it, its so dark and poorly drawn!

Another bum numbing experience then... news.tfw2005.com/2017/06/15/transformers-last-knight-running-time-rating-details-officially-announced-341892 If the evidence received from theaters all over the world is not enough, we now have the official running time of Transformers: The Last Knight thanks to British Board Of Film Classifications.
As earlier reports suggested, the movie is 2 Hours and 28 Minutes long. To be precise it’s 2 Hours and 28 Minutes and 53 Seconds long (148m 53s). Additionally, the movie has received a rating of 12A for UK. I particularly like this: LANGUAGE There is some moderate bad language (‘bitch’) and wordplay (‘mofo’), as well as various uses of milder bad language (for example, ‘dickhead’, ‘son of a bitch’, ‘shit’, ‘ bullshit’, ‘piss’, ‘bugger’, ‘ass’, ‘crap’, ‘screw’, ‘bloody’, ‘frigging’, ‘hell’, ‘damn’, ‘God’, ‘Christ’).

Hmmm. I have Edinburger Film Festival stuff on the evening of the 22nd so it shall have to be a morning or afternoon showing if any 2D screenings area available at that time. I am not desperate to see it on day 1 out of excitement: I just know that dicks on the internet will spoil the heck out of it as soon as it comes out.
