So i got Big Powered today, and sadly the quality is suspect at best.

I am underwhelmed still by them.
That torso join on Dai Atlas is weak.

Aye. That is definitely the worst part.
The other two have their issues, too. It feels like most of the new parts (Dai's new waist connector included) are made of cheaper plastic than the holdover parts.

None of them are as good as the toys they were adapted from (Sky Shadow, Misfire & Twin Twist)

Less of all this negativity! I haven't even managed to get mine out of the plastic yet! Let me down gently!

Positives:
They all have some really, really nice paint work. I mean, they don't half-ass it at all.
I really like Dai Atlas's wings. TF throws anything on an arm and calls it a "shield." Atlas's wings really are a pretty good shield.
It's not a terrible set. The poor quality is heartbreaking, but it still feels more like a labor of love, than a cash grab.
I would have happily paid a bit more for better quality. And I would have preferred Dai Atlas to remain in two pieces like overlord, rather than the connecting joint he has.

Think I can only agree with Toph, really. And it definitely feels like a labor of love - they have indeed gone all out on this in terms of the decos, and they are lovely. I'm still happy with mine.

Had a shot of Andu's. They are awful, especially the new plastic parts. They feel like KO's. I am staggered these were seen as acceptable quality to release.
They photograph well. Best experienced that way!

Having had them for a while, and the disappointment of the poor quality, my opinion has improved a bit. Buyer beware at full price. But if you could snag them at a discount, I'd say they're definitely worth it.
Also, I realized that tank guy can swing his turret under his waist exactly like Armada Megatron.

A interesting morning spent sorting through my medium (Deluxe, Voyager & Leader class) Legends figures from the TR era and trying to work out which to keep at hand and which to file in the loft. I have all the TR western versions and it doesn't make sense to be using valuable space down here to hold two versions of the same toy close to hand. Plus there's a zero space cost to putting these in the loft, their boxes are up there already in the Titans boxes so they can be returned to their original packaging. Everything Legend was in alt mode in the box, yes? These are keep to hand toys Blurr Targetmaster Hot Rodimus (Hot Rod) Targetmaster Chear (Kup)
Scourge Windblade Broadside Superior decos to their TR versions, and in the case of HotRod & Kup new parts. My TR Broadside has cream crackered stickers. Super Ginrai Godbomber Leo Prime G2 Megatron Unique to the Legends line Fortress Maximus Dinosaurer (Trypticon) Don't have western versions. Dlx Black Convoy Deadlock Convobat Magna Convoy Headmaster Set Voyager Black Convoy Exclusives, So to the loft go the following: Hardhead Skull (Skullcruncher) Galvatron Broadcast (Blaster) Weirdwolf Chromedome Highbrow Wipe (Mindwipe) Soundwave Brainstorm Astrotrain Targetmaster Triggerharpy Sixshot Targetmaster Doublecross Targetmaster Misfire Targetmaster Slugslinger Perceptor (w/ Ramhorn) Octone (Octane) (w/ Ghost Starscream) Clonebot Set Blitzwing Overlord Clonetron Set Targetmaster Twin Twist Targetmaster Topspin These last two have been stripped of their Targetmasters.

Can and have!
Windblade, Topspin, Twintwist & Doublecross should never have had those Targetmasters in the first place. As soon as I got Doublecross, I gave his TM Haywire to Blurr!
Similarly the extra Titanmaster vehicles and extra heads have been in box for ages

Phil makes the sensible and correct choices. The TMs need to be returned to their rightful G1 owners.
They only came with the wrong ones because Takara were slow out if the gate with the idea. I wonder now if Hasbro did TR full in the knowledge the Battlemaster line would eventually follow, or if it was a reaction to the popularity of the Tak diddymen.

They were intended to be separated. Haywire came with Doublecross so they wouldn't have to reissue Blurr, thus angering all the fans who already bought blurr.
What was wrong, was that they included three targetmasters who's autobot partners don't exist, when they should have given us Fracus and Nightstick.

Most of those heads are exactly the same as the hasbro released titanmasters. The vehicles however often sport unique decoes, though.

Post by Philip Ayres on Jun 7, 2019 21:36:17 GMT
The deco is different on all the heads, and, with the possible exception of Repugnus, much better on the Japanese versions of the same characters. I'll see if I can find/do some comparison photos Let's get the list from TF Wiki LG24 Shockwave & Cancer - redeco of Crashbash/Squeezeplay LG28 Rewind & Nightbeat - redeco of Nightbeat LG29 Wheelie & Goshooter - NEW CHARACTER redeco of Loudmouth/Siren LG37 Jaguar (Ravage) & Bullhorn - redeco of Terribull LG38 Condor (Laserbeak) & Apeface - redeco of Apeface LG44 Sharktron (Sharkticon) & Sweeps - NEW CHARACTER redeco of Scourge's Fracas with altered face LG47 Kickback & Clouder (Double-Dealer) - NEW CHARACTER redeco of Ramhorn LG48 Gong (Brawn) & Repug (Repugnus) - minor redeco of Repugnus, with different eyes. LG54 Bumble (Bumblebee) & Excel Suit Spike - NEW CHARACTER, NEW MOULD LG57 Octone (Octane) (w/ Ghost Starscream) - NEW CHARACTER, redeco of Nightbeat with NEW FACE LG64 Seaspray & Lione - redeco of Sawback. Brawn & Grimlock were in the Headmasters 6 pack Repugnus is the only one to have both his head and accessory, which came with Broadside, released in the same colours in Japan. It would be fair to say I only bought some of those to get the heads.

Swapped them round Nightbeat/Starscream Fracas/Sweep Western Fracas on the left, Japanese Fracas in the middle, Sweep on the right Finally the original moulds Spike Master Warriors - GoShooter, from above, with Minerva and Cab
