Looks lioke a proper Galvatronus team. Cyclonus with 2 jet arms, Rook and is that off road as legs. So Scourge and sweep as arms? Legs anyone? Sunbow season 3 ground based decepticons?

They already got a big megatron, and there's no core that works as Megs. There simply *is* no other alternative to Starscream.
The Japanese don't particularly care for Galvatron or Cyclonus in the way americans and europeans do.
Galvatronus already works as a better Emperor Starscream than it does Galvatron. Plus, Superion's weapon has been shoulder mounted, like Starscream's Nullray.
There is no random decepticon combiner like there are TWO random autobots. Soundwave, Starscream, and the seekers don't exist in this line.
It makes more sense to me from a japanese perspective for Starscream/Emperor Starscream with TC, Warp, and Soundwave, who continue to be major characters that tomy keeps going back to, than Cyclonus/Galvatron, Scourge, and the Sweeps who only get minor occasional nods.
Airraid makes the best seeker, but Airraid is already black, which rules out Skywarp. Which means Airraid is best for Thundercracker. Firefly/Slingshot got used twice already in Superion, and possibly again in Bruticus, which means that Skydive is the best choice to use for Skywarp.
Of the most important '84/'85 decepticons, that leaves Shockwave and Soundwave. Neither of whom have CW connections. (Do not forget that tomy pushes ALL legends into Adventure, and everything else into Legends)
So the best choices here are Rook who hasn't been used in United for Shockwave, and Offroad for Soundwave.
Tomy has given us one new mold, and in theory may give us another, and they "corrected" two "mistakes" made by hasbro on two other combiners. So it may not be unreasonable to think we may get new heads. Though Offroad's head already makes a pretty decent Soundwave.

This is Japanese repaint madness at it's very, very best :-) I think this is some sort of mad inter generational combiner. The Starscream is blatantly G1, doesn't the combiner peg look good as the cockpit roof something that I think was suggested here a while back. Armada Thrust is wayyy left field but works. The only pickup like Soundwave I can think of is the Animated version. That could possibly leave the white and orange Rook as Wreckage. Need to see more of the core. Wonder if it has a new robot, as opposed to combined, mode head? |

Okay, I wanted to hate it, on principle of Japan always getting the good stuff. But... yeah. I hate it. Because Japan always gets the cool stuff. ;-)
That is nicely mad idea. And I like it. Although it'll be interesting to see who the Cyclonus repaint actually *is*. But likewise, I have no idea who the Rook is. Unless it's something really bonkers, like the orange means that he's The Fallen. Or Sentinel Prime. Or something...

I still think not doing a Tank Megatron core is one of the biggest mistakes Hasbro have made this year. Like forcing the white Voyager Prime not to be Ultra Magnus I think we can laythe blame firmly at the feet of the Leader class assortment here.

Well, I was right about Starscream, just the wrong mold. And was right about soundwave all around.
Never saw Armada Thrust coming. Never woulda guessed that in a million years.
Still not 100% convinced that's Galvatron, but the orange cannon does steer me more in that direction than it would without it.

I cant see Demolisher since they did the demolisher head on Onslaught.
With Starscream and Soundwave it would make sense if Cyclonus is Megatron with a new head, maybe Energon Megs, or movie. Soundwave could be Animated if they are doing some weird multi universal gestault.
