That deco is lovely. Really nice. and he'll have the fixed hips. If it had been the new head too that would have pushed me over.

Yes Sunstreaker is the one I have the most doubts over. Neck down, he doesn't do it for me.

The more I see of Sunstreaker, the more of a box he looks. Not for me, I think. They did kind of butcher the toy, I can see what they were going for when I compare it to the original breakdown but as perfectly as Deadend came out Breakdown went in the other direction. Having said that Sunstreaker is still sort of working for me. Sunstreakers always been about the feet. Front of car becomes feet isnt a design that got used much on larger car bots after Sunstreaker so always stood out. This Sunstreakers got that and a good head sculpt. |

I know the bumper doesnt become the feet, just that the feet have the right look for Sunstreaker. Its close enough compared to classics and alternators.

RFC seem to think that the Unite Autobot car combiner is an homage to Energon Prime, which would explain the tweeted photo we saw a while back of the CW Prime with the Energon limbs attached, and why the Unite one is called 'Grand' Prime.

Ralph has had a shot of Grand Scourge. Pictures do not do it justice. The colour scheme really pops when seen in the plastic. Lovely deco.

Can make out rook, Offroad, and Airraid. Not sure what the right arm is... Think it's another jet.

But then this is more of a cludge than repainting Stunticons into Autobots. The jets should be recolours of the same mould. Soundwave isn't a van. The core would have to be starscream if the arms are the other two.
All very odd. Takara have tried to stay slavishly G1 with these figures - new moulds, the lot. Why start making stuff up now?

TFW translates the text as “Overseas! Domestic release in Japan! We’ll do our best!” which kinda suggests this is going to be a random mess. It's like they're drawing together the new US characters because Off Road and Rook are there, and Cyclonus hasn't been used, but they're ignoring Alpha Bravo.

Starscream being the core, with the other two jets being limbs just does not work in my mind, with Soundwave and who knows who as well. A Megatron core, 3 jet limbs, and a Soundwave (I can tollerate a van/vehicle Soundwave) limb would be..... The Dream. Do a new Megatron core TomyTak. I dare ya! |
