That's superb. I have everything there except the original Fort Max, i bought the LG one and the Hasbro SDCC one. Got several doublers, a couple of triplers, 1 LG Scourge and 3 Hasbro Scourges as the Sweeps and a tiny army of Sharkticons with their leader LG Gnaw due in a few days.

Most of mine are in boxes, you're welcome to come up and play with them.
The train fare would be cheaper than a divorce.

I got my Arcee today.
Like the two before him, Ultra Magnus is a letdown, entirely due to QC issues cause by pointlessly being diecast.
Arcee herself is fantastic, though I think they missed a trick. The mold is much better as Arcee than Nautica, and IMO she works better than the previous Generations Arcee. Her face sculpt is fantastic. One of the best in TR, if not the best. Leinad doesn't work as well though. His new head is kinda weird, being a faceless, fairly flat silver dome, to mimic the exosuit dome. Interesting idea that I don't think worked. Also it doesn't fit into the TR connection ports. So it pops off if you move it too hard. The new tooling is pretty nice, and she manages to shake the Blurr In Cosplay feel that plagues Brainstorm and Nautica.
Though here's the trick I think they missed. They emulate Arcee's backpack kibble with new shoulder pads. And while it works, I think they could have been a bit more visually ambitious with about the same amount of new tooling: Change the forearms, instead of the shoulders, and had sculpted the shield to cover the entire front end of the car, including fists. Emulate the classic Arcee vehicle hood. Then on the underside of the shield, sculpt additional slots to attach to the clip piece, reversed from how you attach to the car. So when you store it on her back, it can clip on exactly like her iconic backpack. (To be fair, they should have done this exact same thing with Brainstorm's new nosecone) They could have even saved a bit by swiping the previous Arcee's guns.

I think it's safe to call Titans Return a wrap. There may be one or two more things we haven't seen, but I don't think they'd be anything earth shattering like a new mold, or a heavy retool.
As such, I feel there are a lot more oddball choices in this line over Combiner Wars. I'm not going to retread my "all headmasters should have been given priority" rant, even though that's a big part of it. But here are some of the oddities that particularly stand out to me.
• Voyagers- the gimmick of the voyagers is intentionally intended to be triplechangers. The gimmick of TR is intentionally updating the headmasters. There were two headmasters who were triplechangers, and larger than the other headmasters: Snapdragon and Apeface. But we got Sentinel Prime, who's not only a nobody, he does not look anything like any version of Sentinel Prime ever seen. We got Alpha Trion, who sorta follows the same. We got Galvatron, who seems to be a complete one off mold.
Now the impressive feat of backflipping they went through to retool a jet mode into a LION is amazing. I see no reason it couldn't have taken a Snapdragon retool instead, looking at the basic layout of the mold. Or the Astrotrain mold could have been retooled to either Snap or Ape. And if there was a one off, Galvatron could have been sacrificed for the other of the duo. (Meanwhile, Galvatron could have made an interesting PotP leader)
• Brawn- If they were gonna do a legend Brawn, why do a titanmaster? Why not give us Hosehead?
• Hosehead- We got Titanmaster Siren and Nightbeat. And we got all three decepticons. Why draw the line with Hosehead? Why not at least make him a minor retool of Brawn?
• Twinferno- We got a fully realized Doublecross, a titanmaster Repugnus, and Grotusque is left out in the cold. More over, Twinferno turns out to be a one off. No retool seems to have been planned. But you know what? Instead of Hotrod (who's getting a better do-over LESS THAN A YEAR LATER), they could have done Grotusque, who would retool beautifully into Terri-Bull. Instead of Perceptor or Kup, both of whom are one offs (mostly), we could have gotten Repugnus, who would retool into Squeezeplay. And Twinferno himself retools into Fangry! In turn would have opened two Titanmaster slots.
• Leader Class- A lot of really odd choices here -Sixshot, A one off mold, that got shoehorned into being an autobot he looks nothing like. -Blaster/Soundwave, massively oversized out of scale versions of these characters (when Perceptor could have easily retooled into really kickass versions of either)
So either of these molds could have easily been replaced with Scorponok. It's a great size, it could still have it's base mode. In the case of taking Sixshot's spot, it could have done up in that boxset as either Black Zarak, or Doublepunch.
There are a few other oddities that stick out with hindsight, but these are the ones that come to mind most.

I imagine 'missing' figures might crop up in PotP to keep fan collectors interest up.
And although we have had the headmaster gimmick redone here I don't think Hasbro have ever stated or are obliged to redo the Headmaster line from 30 years ago piece for piece.
I've enjoyed Titans Return. Got.me back into some TF buying.

I imagine 'missing' figures might crop up in PotP to keep fan collectors interest up. On the existing evidence POTP will, more than likely, be Combiners all the way down the Deluxe and Voyager line. Doing Headmaster characters in a Combiner line when they could have been done as Headmasters isn't going to go down well. For my money they'll either be TR2, tmukhub.proboards.com/post/291442/thread, or they'll have to wait for a mixed gimmick line. Hasbro has made noises in recent interviews about using the TR gimmick again as and when required so there's hope. news.tfw2005.com/2017/09/17/tfw2005-interview-john-warden-ben-montano-349154

You're only assuming voyagers/deluxes are exclusively combiners. Just like you've assumed every combiner is part of a specific designated team. Hasbro's made no such claims. The unifying gimmick Hasbro has promoted is that plugging primemasters into their chests. There's nothing to say some won't be headmasters down the line.

The gimmick of TR is intentionally updating the headmasters. There were two headmasters who were triplechangers, and larger than the other headmasters: Snapdragon and Apeface. Their absence here really stands out. But, as quoted above, it looks like thir absence is noted. But we got Sentinel Prime, who's not only a nobody, he does not look anything like any version of Sentinel Prime ever seen. Essentially he exists to be Astrotrain's Pretool and balance the books. We got Alpha Trion, who sorta follows the same. He at least gets a veguely form appropriate recolour in Japan as Lioconvoy. And my goodness that's a decent repaint. We got Galvatron, who seems to be a complete one off mold. Bar the head/mask, it's a nice toy fans had been asking for. (Meanwhile, Galvatron could have made an interesting PotP leader) And may yet! • Brawn- If they were gonna do a legend Brawn, why do a titanmaster? Why not give us Hosehead? I can see what you're getting at here but, for me, the Legends Brawn + Titanmaster Brawn was one of the best things about the line. • Hosehead- We got Titanmaster Siren and Nightbeat. And we got all three decepticons. Why draw the line with Hosehead? Why not at least make him a minor retool of Brawn? • Leader Class- A lot of really odd choices here -Sixshot, A one off mold, that got shoehorned into being an autobot he looks nothing like. The choice of his repaint is odd, purely governed by him being a Sixchanger. But Sixshot was there or thereabouts on peopkle's wants lists of stuff that hadn't been done, there's 3p versions out there and I can see Takara wanting Sixshot if the rest of the line was going to be Headmasters as he's closely related to their cartoon and more famous there. I would not be surprised to see Greatshot and Shadowmaru show up as repaints (exclusives?) there •Blaster/Soundwave, massively oversized out of scale versions of these characters (when Perceptor could have easily retooled into really kickass versions of either) Blaster isn't massively out of scle with his previous toy. The size is driven by the need to do tapes as Legends. So I get that. What surprises me is they left 2 easy repaints of these and 3 of the tapes on the shelf. So either of these molds could have easily been replaced with Scorponok. It's a great size, it could still have it's base mode. In the case of taking Sixshot's spot, it could have done up in that boxset as either Black Zarak, or Doublepunch. Scorponok is the other big absence problem I've had with TR. Fort Max doesn't have his traditional counterpart and the Headmaster Decepticons don't have their leader. I rather suspect Hasbro thought he'd win the 2017 Titan vote.

Back to TR comments: The deluxes's guns. I think several related tricks were missed during the line. The Autobot Headmasters are all missing the twin guns their original counterparts had. Well all till Highbrow at which point twin guns becomes a standard. After that the problem then becomes that the guns can't be held combined in a horizontal plane, with the barrels next to each other and the seat facing up for a Titanmaster to sit in. Hot Rod & Triggerhappy are particularly bad offenders here as their combined weapons look like their previous Tragetmasters but can't be held right. There's a 3P fix for Triggerhappy (and Another for Highbrow) but nothing yet for poor Hot Rod. Twinferno, Kup & Misfire kind of get round the problem by having the guns combine side to side with two handles pointing down, either of which can be held, but it's still difficult attaching there to base modes. Topspin and Twintwist get it right - half a peg on each gun combining to make one handle - but in turn have rubbish guns and combined guns!

I think we're less skating round, and more clinging desperately to his green and purple thighs. But never mind that.
I have to say, as the Titans finish their return, that this has really, oddities aside, been a superb line. I thought Combiner Wars was good - and it was! - but this has been so much better. These toys have been just so much damned fun. PottoP has a long way to go in making such a perfect mix of nostalgia and playability.
Seriously - even ten years ago I would never have thought we'd get a line as consistently good as this. Bravo!

Most of mine comes from online preorders. And I've accepted I'll never see Ramhorn (TMs have been deleted off shelves before his wave), or Slugslinger (no one stateside is offering preorders for him alone, and I doubt I'll find him)
My god TR has been an unmitigated disaster of planning.

Yes, I know TR can be bought online but my budget is very tight and I just can't factor in additional shop prices, postage and importing costs which why is why I need to find the things in actual physical shops!

I -had- to have Seaspray and Brawn... oh and Shartkticons... and had to get them online. Although I don't have the likes of TRU near me. I'd expect there to be more of a showing in stores like that, surely? I got Galvatron from a TRU I happened to be passing in the early days of TR. And Soundwave was in TKMax cheap.

ASDA'S been good for Deluxe or Legends - bar wave 2 Legends which was thankfully under distributed.
Only seen Voyagers and Leaders in larger toy stores, and not see any leader after Soundwave. Didn't see the first 2 waves of Voyagers in the shops, or Broadside (has he been seen at all here?) while Op & Megs have been everywhere and sat.
Titanmasters were in Supermarkerts and TRU to start with, nothing after the second wave.
Imported everything anyway and frequently got it cheaper than UK retail.
