10.5 inches to his eyeline, 11.5 to the top of his head.
He isn't a monster by modern standards, but would give the original combiners out the same year a run for their money. The funny thing about this is that I was ready to be awed by the brilliance of the dino mode, but it's the city that I've kept him in more so far. It just looks so flippin good and with the light on the top of the tower and the rotating probe bits Phil was talking about it knocks spots off Metroplex. It's just a really cool base mode.

I was just looking for a video to demo the rotating turrets and noticed there is a minor difference between this one and the original - the original has a ball bearing on the outside of his shin to aid sliding movement when in mobile battle station mode. This new one has a moulded plastic bump there instead.

Thanks for that, Pinwig. Interesting it's the base mode that's giving you the happy feelings at the mo.

He is here, but relegated to the garage of doom whilst we continue to sort the new house out.
What's the deal with the multi-lingual box? I thought this was a us only release?

That's a pretty serious rust problem he's got there.

I do like Trypticon. I still maintain the full Scramble City line with Metroplex and Galvatron/Magnus is the pinnacle of G1. I was just looking at the wiki and did not know this bit though - it's talking about the connectors that allow Motormaster and Onslaught to attach:
In an undocumented feature, these connector pieces can plug into Trypticon's back in dinosaur mode, where their acute angles make them look like more Godzilla-styled back plates; when in this configuration you can also plug Trypticon's small weapon accessories into the concavities of the connector pieces, giving him more of a "complete" transformation.

Oh my goodness!
There is no way that is not deliberate. The pegs on the connectors exactly match two screw holes on each side!!!

It'd be just like the start of the old Godzilla cartoon. Same roar and everything.
