Anyway. Sunstreaker's shoulders are red as he dips them in the blood of his enemies.

I believe water is "blue" because it filters the sunlight, to where only short wave blue light penetrates. Long wave red light is filtered out to the point eyes adapt to where they can't even see it. It's shy you pull up fish from the abyss, and are surprised by the amount of them that are red, because red is a better disguise in the dark, than black.
However, if you dive at night with a white light, the water is clear to the point night divers say they feel like they're flying.
At least this is my understanding.

From the Earthrise thread: tmukhub.proboards.com/post/402602/thread I feel there's something lacking from this. Maybe, indeed, the boxiness or the lack of red shoulders. Red Shoulders are a stickering mistake on the original, good riddance to them. The stickers match the bodywork on the Diaclone versions I hope WHEN 1984 Sunstreaker's Mould is resurrected and he's reissued that we'll get some alternate yellow stickers.

Give the discerning TF fan a choice. The red is a hold over from the Diaclone version when they expected the Super Tuning Countach LP500S to be Red as per it's Diaclone version www.diaclone.net/orid/dia036/index.htmlAnd the New Countach to be yellow as per it's Diaclone variant www.diaclone.net/orid/dia050/index.htmlThen the colours got swapped and hilarity ensued, as much covered here before. tmukhub.proboards.com/thread/9447The red stickers are one of a number of elements that Sunstreaker retained that he shouldn't have.

Any Sunstreaker NEEDS red shoulders, Big Phil. It is the way of things. Not on the animation or the comic, just the original toy. And there it's a mistake. Should be yellow. Or a neutral black.

Ask yourself this: should the portion of the car, from which the shoulders are formed, be a different colour to the rest of the bodywork?
No.

I mean look at the original car: Is there anything about those red patches that looks right like the belong there! The purpose of the sticker is to make the piece of black plastic blend in with the rest of the bodywork. If it's not the same colour as the rest of the bodywork it fails! Or do you think someone randomly thought "it'd be really cool if Sunstreaker had red shoulders different from the rest of the toy and spoiling the look of the car"?

But it's what it was meant to be. It's the ORIGINAL version therefore impossible to be wrong in any way.

It does look right because that is what Sunstreaker looks like.
Didn't we have a vote on this? In which Phil was humbled and humiliated in his abstract wrongness?

Burns is unable to admit he's wrong on this because it's a gateway to admitting he's wrong on other things on which he will not budge.
The red stickers are a mistake. As are Hotrod's.

No because both views are correct.
Ralph takes the existing Sunstreaker as the right one because it's what was released.
Phil points out somewhere someone made a mistake and when Sideswipe & Sunstreaker were mixed up the sticker sheet wasn't changed, so the intention clearly is that the sticker should be yellow.
Sunstreaker shouldn't have sunburnt shoulders. But, that's what came out. So he does.

But he's right. Also, Ralph is right. Ralph is right that it is the original toy. I am right that the original toy is WRONG!!!!! Mr Pins, you've used Toyhex? Do they do a sticker set for Sunstreaker? If so are there extra/alternate stickers for the shoulders?
