I've only got #1 which I read last night. I'm going to get the tpb with Nick stating artwork in it too. Did take 40mins to read mainly reading Kup in cartoon style & he is text heavy. Someone should show bendis an issue of because in the time it takes to read 1 issue written by Nick Roche you can read 12 issue by mr pad it out bendis.

Annoyingly it comes after Diamond UKs price hike. $20 book was £14.99, now it's £17.99.

They've set the rate at $1 = 90p! Was $1 = 75p previously, for 8 years, $1 = 65p before that. Horrible prices.

I have now read this courtesy of the library. Sorry to say this but I found it a real chore to get through and I stopped and put it down for a bit before returning, hoping that I perhaps had just not been in the mood. I just found the story dull with a deeply unengaging villain who just ranted on and on and on about the same thing over and over. It was monotonous and it felt at least an issue and a half too long. Matters were not helped by the overly dark and muddy colours which made much of it a bit of a headache to look at and sometimes panels were rendered incoherant by this approach. I only felt emotionally involved during a certain page featuring Stakeout which was very deftly and maturely done. The reveal of certain Beastly characters was clever and unexpected.
A real shame. I want to like this as the creators involved have done fabulous work before but sorry I have to say that for me that was a complete dud and I must be honest. Really disappointing.
