Umm. Apocalypse looks... bored? And very 1970s BBC 'Monster'.

There seems to be a consensus in the comments posted on that page (thumbs up for Psylocke, thumbs down for Apocalypse). I wonder if they're early enough in production to go back and try again?
Psylocke looks great, but the question is, can they make her do the martial arts fighting convincingly in that get-up or does she just appear in it standing in the background for a token ten seconds? With Elektra they decided it wasn't feasible to dress like the comic character and do the action stuff, but hey, since then we've seen talking raccoons, flying aircraft carriers and a star-spangled Captain America who doesn't come across as ridiculous. So finger crossed...

I think Apocalypse will look significantly better on film, than in those really glossy and over-exposed EW pictures.

I actually don't mind the Apocalypse look terribly much. I mean, I wasn't expecting the hilariously collagen-infused lips which most artists gave the comics one anyway. (Don't get me wrong, I love the early takes on Apocalypse but they are much more suited to the "Mutant Terrorist who wants to force humanity to go extinct and mutanity to get stronger by upping the selection pressure" than the "Immortal self-proclaimed pinnacle of evolution" which he was later written as.)
From that point of view I actually don't mind too much if Apocalypse looks a little bored a lot of the time - the version they are going with is the "I took a power to cover every niche possible and I'm immortal. I'm still looking for someone who doesn't seem like an ant to me" after all, so perhaps he has grounds to be bored. :-)
As to Psylocke, given that the "Ninja Exhibitionist" outfit is my least favourite of all the looks Betsy Braddock has had over the years my reaction doesn't go much beyond "eh".

Psylocke looks AMAZING......
.........................
*ahem* And and everyone else looks fantastic n'all. Fassbender is so brilliant as Magneto, I've such a Man-crush on him. Fassbender IS Magneto. All's well-
Except...
Apocalypse look terrible. I... I'm stunned how bad he looks (OH GOD, NO!), what... what on Earth is going on there?!?!

So it seems the horsemen are Archangel, Storm, Magneto, and Xavier.
So this is weird. Is it pre-X-Men 1, or some weird time travel thing?
I reaaaally kinda wish they just used First Class as a complete reboot. Their attempts to get around the screw ups that were Last Stand, and XMO: Wolverine are just making everything so much more confusing.

I'm glad they have tried tie it all together, even if its more than a little messy in places. Im sure Jubilee cameod in one of the original trilogy, even if it was the third one which they have tried to write out, it would'nt explain her turning up a a teenager years before the X3 Jubilee would have been born. But I dont care its clear that much like the comics in a movie or two they will be in the present day were many of them should be of retirement age, but instead will still be in their twenties.
Apocalypse is dumb though.
Or the 90s cartoon has brainwashed a generation.

But but Age of Apocalypse was the best crossover ever! I wouldn't say that, but I'm two thirds of the way through it and enjoying it very much so far. Well, I don't mean in terms of crossover as an actual story, but in terms of how it worked and affected other books. There's lots of crossovers where the core book is genuinely great and all the tie-ins are terrible or barely relevant (hello Final Crisis) or where the core book is terrible and drags everything down, or where the core book is so difficult to tie into that it all gets weird (hello World War Hulk, how do you do a billion tie-ins to what is basically a fight scene???). Age of Apocalypse was basically "we're letting you change the rules and play in a new sandbox for four issues, go CRAZY" and it felt a lot of fun. House of M was similar in that respect, but felt a bit of an AoA retread and had a terrible terrible ending.

AOA was a boring turgid fetid puss-filled hole of a story in every respect. I would rather watch Alan Bennett monologues in a loop than ever revisit it.

I... I'm telling Phil on you PHILLLLLLLL He's just doing it to wind us up. Too many peanut Yorkies has addled his brain I feel like we need to call Andy to go over to his place and kick down the door. Ralph is probably in a heap on the floor mainlining 'Cadillacs and Dinosaurs' and making voodoo dolls of Steven Moffat.

AoA was great. Possibly the greatest event ever. It was the first time anything like that had ever been done. What hurts it is Marvel not leaving it alone, either in ripping it off (as with house of m), or unnecessary sequels.
Also, AoA gave us BLINK! And without her, we'd not have the Exiles, either!

Agreed.
Think as Crossover events go - AoA is the best that has been done in the modern era.
I do not mind Apocalypse, I just think his story was done long ago. I think he should have been done after X-Cutioner's Song, you still get AoA because with Professor Xavier dying events unfolded differently.
Shame that Lobdell brought him back during Onslaught.

I liked Apocalypse back in X-Factor when he was a mutant terrorist with shapemanipulating powers and stolen alien technology who wanted to push humanity and mutantkind alike to the edge of extinction in his own mis-applied darwinistic way. (Basically, Magneto only blue and with Expoy-lips)
[yes, I know he was a last-minute replacement for an even dafter idea, but still I thought he worked out ok in that books context)
Then they turned him into an immortal randomly cosmic-powered dude whose actual plan became more and more incoherent as he went along, and I became rapidly less interested in him.
