My Cliffjumper is yellow. I've never got used to him being red because of that.

My Cliffjumper is yellow. I've never got used to him being red because of that. Same. He was the second Transformer I bought, and I didn't see a red cliffjumper until months later. So for me my initial impression is always Cliffjumper=yellow, and then I have to correct back to "not in the show or the comic though".Always have done, and given how many decades we are down the track...I'm too old to change now! i've had a yellow cliff for ages and a while back decided that i wanted a red one so i set an alert on ebay for g1 cliffjumper and more yellows than reds showed up over the months before i found a red at a price that suited. not scientific or owt but there you go. i wonder if the uk got more yellows than reds.

It's rather popular as it is effectively Trypticon's comic companion Tapout

Or has someone with a steady hand just taken a black permanent marker pen to the regular versions?

Are you suggesting Matt's producing KO black minibots in his lunch break?

He'd better bloody not be. Who told him he could take a lunch break anyway?! Back to the production line with him! It never ends!

Closer inspection shows Brawn used to have a keychain hoop, but it's been snapped off.

Just transformed SS86 Brawn for the first time. That was interesting, without being too complex, though there's a couple of places where parts need to pass each other in close proximity so don't be too HB with it. Both modes are nice and chunky. I can't tell if it's a "Burns will love it" or "Burns will throw it across the room in frustration" But I'd feel comfortable buying it again as Outback. Gears and Windcharger to go from the 1984 Minibots to complete them in deluxe form. Powerglide & Seaspray from 1985 Outback, Swerve, Tailgate & Wheelie from 1986 We've had three Wheelies in recent years though and the TR one is as good as it's going to get, I think. Maybe without the Titan Master cockpit he'd be less flimsy, but that doesn't bother me so much. Not had a deluxe size one though and if the rest of the Mini Autobots get a deluxe and he doesn't it will irk me till the end of time Wheelie's not a proper Mini Autobot, though. Martin

He is, though, a proper mini Autobot, you naughty person. He's a Mini Autobot, but not a proper Mini Autobot. He's a Mini Autobot in the same sense that Cyclonus and Scourge are Strike Planes. Sold in the same size packaging, lumped together with them on some but not all toy catalogues (see www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/japanese-toy-catalog-help-required.1165991/ ), but clearly made by a different toy design team from the others released in 1986, which were all variations on 1984 toys. He was a made-for-the-Movie toy. He just happened to be smaller than Hot Rod, Kup and Blurr, the other Movie Autobot cars, and would be grouped with them if it weren't for his Mini Autobot size. His Japanese toy C-number shows the toys he belongs with: tfwiki.net/wiki/List_of_Japanese_ID_numbers#Fight.21_Super_Robot_Lifeform_TransformersMartin
