Yep. Still not £125 worth of toy. He's going to need to be something a lot more special than he looks to justify that cost.
I mean, Soundwave was set at £100 over here, and yeah, he's the same size as Shockwave. But he came with FIVE cassettes. That was a lot of toy, and worth the money. And Starscream, well, he's just been re-released for 60USD. Sure, there are some QC issues, so maybe they should've used better plastic and put him more up into the 80USD bracket, but, yeah, standing next to Shockwave, you can't see why ol' one eye costs twice as much.

I'd pay double for that. Very nice. There's something very Shockwavey about that Shockwave. I never imagined anyone could beat Quakewave for Shockwaveyness. I still think Quakewave is the better 'Ultimate version of', but in terms of Sunbowness, oh mama. Shockwave is clearly a character where over-Sunbowness is a benefit. Ironhide and Hotrod may be disasters, but this...

And here's some more. Interesting accessories. But still not worth the cost. If that cost is to be believed. I'll be holding out for a Marvel comics accurate version, with Optimus Prime's head, Buster Witwicky, and who knows what else..? |

However Robot Kingdom have put him up at $130, which bodes well for the early prices being guesses. Omegalock have put him up for £100.

Shockwave appears to be trying to hide amongst my colourblindness... It is only partly working - the lighter parts look grey to me, obviously they are light enough to fall into the blurry edges I have at the boundaries of some colours. He is looking rather nice though. I still think I'm likely to shell out on this when it emerges next year. There are very few MPs which have impressed me as much as this one - the recent Prime, Star Saber and the original Starscream are pretty much the only ones to feel as much a "must buy"

Love the mould and even at £125 price wasn't ruling me out, but I'm not sure I want the sunbow colour scheme. Or at least I will be cross with myself if I buy it only for Hasbro or TT to release a closer to toy colour version.

I do want this but the RRP may rule it out on terms of affordability. I can rarely afford to drop three digits on a toy. A shame.

Darker would be better, but what a gamble to take... How many of the bigger figures have Takara reissued with changes? Just Soundwave as Soundblaster? Yet bumblebee is now on his third paint job...

Id say odds are still just about in a repaints favour. Magnus is still just about to recent to rule out powered convoy. So theres only mp megatron and star sabre that haven't had repaints so far.

I don't think anyone's shocked Doc, more just an ideal figure would be darker. Takara are definitely in Sunbow land with first releases.
