Can someone explain that weird purple gun stand/backpack. He needs something to carry his sandwiches in. Bots gotta snack. OH GOD I AM HAVING 'NAM STYLE FLASHBACKS TO PIRANACON AND HIS SANDWICH BACKPACK. THIS WAS A REAL THING THAT HAPPENED THAT UPSET SO MANY PEOPLE THAT IT WAS AMAZING. |

Can someone explain that weird purple gun stand/backpack. It's to support the gun-barrel so that it can be displayed in weapon mode, and they've given it something to do in humanoid mode so that it isn't a loose spare part if you decide to display it in humanoid mode. A bit like the way MP Star Saber has that shield that becomes a display stand for his V-Star combination. Karl |

I didn't think they needed to be replicas, but maybe classics Megatron etc. are just the manufacturers playing it safe.
Also - for this to be a complete set, Shockwave should come with a Lt. Ripley and facehugger figures.

Wow. He looks amazing. I can not believe a Shockwave could be better than Quakewave, but hats off, TomTak, you've done great. APART FROM- Quakewave's back looks way better than MP Shockwave's, far neater.

That is true. The repaints in this line are usually quite contrasting though, or to show different characters. Would they get away with MP-29SDP... slightly darker purple? We haven't had toy/cartoon differences in repaints yet have we? It's been more cartoon/Diaclone.

I can see a Sunbow Shockwave having wider appeal though, especially if he comes with some new accessories. The other repaint opportunities are limited (Would they even have the rights to the Shackwave colour scheme?) |

I can't remember if we've covered this, but TFormers is saying the new info on Shockwave says it needs two button batteries and two triple A aswell. So we've seen that the barrel lights up in gun mode, but is that the same light as the one in his robot gun arm (as per the original toy), if so, are the other batteries for his eye?

What do you mean "magically"? Can't you read Japanese ? It says Shockwave is a drone with flight capacity (roughly like one of those little copter drones).
They have yet to show us the little remote .
