It is a good job that I am content with a single version of the mould, and already have Lord Straxus to lord it over my troops.
It helps to aussuage the "me want" response that would otherwise overtake me.

cool, but you know what? i really like my "darkmount" blue colour scheme better... plus i feel foundly for my darkmount/straxus (comeon, we all know it is straxus) as it was a free gift from hasbro.

To the smelting pool with SG Darkmount, I want my Kick-Off and Spinister! (And possibly even Octopunch. Last batch of in-hand photos looked good). Any kind folk at BotCon to help a man out?

Oh, it's just camo, I was hoping it would be green.
Not sure I understand the point of it.

More Shattered Glass garbage: nice decos spoiled by stupid faction logos.
What's that comic monstrosity supposed to be? It looks like children's drawings.

Are they homaging something? Either way it's doing nothing for me, and I usually like those heavily stylised illustrations that crop up so often (typically of Star Wars characters).
Not that I particularly expected it to be worth picking up, being a BotCon comic and all...

That is a good point, but I get so fundamentally irked with TFWiki's "this toy was repurposed as SG..." that it puts me right off doing any repurposing of my own!
Though thinking about it, I do have last year's AMTC, and he certainly isn't representing SG in my collection.

I think I'll struggle to get more add ons than I am already trying to but if people are after them I can have a try but youll lave to allow £40-50 per figure. Pm if you want me to try for anything.
Not opened sg strx yet so no opinion. Metal hawk isn't as bad as it could be, I mostlylikely overlord and magnUs is ok.

From the teeny tiny picture 2005 has, he almost seems like a gobot, who's name I forget. (Straxus that is) The comic cover seems to be an homage to Samurai Jack.
As for SG, if the figures aren't useful in non-SG ways, I'll get rid of them without a second thought.

Outside of red Tracks, the only one I care for this year really is Kick-off. Damn my love for transforming versions of Actionmasters!

No love for the Junkion/Insecticons? Shame on you, I think they're fab. I like both the Jazz versions Kick off and the new "Armada Sideswipe" which is waaay better than the original. Vortex ain't bad either.

I'm not especially excited by SG to be honest, unless the redeco means something interesting. I don't have any other SG stuff off the top of my head so the insectijunkions would look out of plqce on my shelf Did I miss something with Vortex? Do you mean Spinister? He's nice, but doesn't look amazing in bot mode imho. The Jazz mould uses are all nice but not worth the hassle/expense of picking up treadshot/customs class longhaul for me (especially the latter!)

I like the motorbikes and they do actually work as Shattered Glass, especially when you consider a degree of similarity between Junkions and Sunbow/IDW Insecticons (ie swarming masses of similar/identical beings).

I have the set, and here's my mini review. May or may not do a more detailed review (In the appropriate forum) later.
Comic: -Without story spoilers, I think this was the worst comic of them all. Normally, the comics are at least decent. While I hate mirror universes in general, which makes SG about my least favorite concept... the comic for the 2008 set was actually pretty good. (Everything that followed was rubbish to me, though) But this... this was just aweful.
Toys: Overall, this is an amazing, and monumental excercize in complete and total "Meh." The toys are intricately decoed. I mean, they have absolutely amazing tiny little touches (Treadshot's windows are partially tinted, and the tint fades away. This is impossible to see in photos) that just really pop. New Shattered Prime's weathered deco likewise doesn't show up in photos, but is just amazing, and really knocks the original out of the water. However, the characetr selections, the mold choices, and the color choices are just so mind blowing mediocrity at it's finest, it's unbelievable. Ultra Magnus at once is beautiful, but so completely boring. But we also get Treadshot and Kickoff, which are amazing and exciting figures. Though I think that has more to do with the molds than FP.
They are depressing.

Translation : we were unable to sell all our sets after the credit card fiasco and general pure treatment of our customers. -Ralph The treatment continues, a few days ago FP were running some test on the store or some such, while they did this a fan found the page for the excess club runamucks, which showed them instock. At this point no one knew it was just a test, after all this is FP policy to throw things up for sale with no official statement ahead of time. He linked to the page on a TFW thread and a load of people ordered. Eventually through twitter or Pete posting in the thread they said it was a test, but not whether the orders would be honoured. Then with no further explanation they got cancelled. Then people who ordered got this email from Becky. Which is amazing. PLEASE do NOT order from the TF club store until you receive the club email stating that the TF club store is "active". We are in the testing phase our store and the shipping module is not processing tracking numbers or shipping labels so we are not able to take orders yet. But solutions are coming.......
We appreciate the cooperation of our TF club members and ask that you forward where or how you received a post/link that allowed you to get access to the TF Club store site. If you receive any future questionable links or posts about the TF club store, please let us know. We look forward to everyone having a successful experience in our NEW STORE!
Thanks for listening, Transformers Collectors Club"[/blockquote]
I also love that she is acting as though the link was somehow illegally obtained, basically exactly how they should but didnt act during the credit card fraud.

Potentially a link up with Ehobby would be a good thing at least for Americans, if FP have anything to do with shipping any service will be all but useless to us.
