Is the visor on the head new? waspintor like. anyone got original image of Landmine toy, can't remember what his head looks like - just that he is orange. But you can see Roadbuster in the paint job.

No, the visor was present on the original toy. It was just transparent and much less noticeable.
I think this guy's supposed to be a long-lost member of the Battle Patrol or something. It's a decent mould but I'd have preferred it t be used for someone I've heard of. It's a shame, because Bug-Bite was the 2007 set's only original character and he had a sort of kitsch charm so the Fun Pub guys can do it when they try.
What puts me off even more was that the original version of this guy was the same shade of orange, albeit in a lot more places. It just doesn't look that different from Landmine.
A resounding 'meh' from the 2nd Glasgow judge. Still have high hopes for Thunderclash.

Trying to image the Thunderclash toy if they do use Cybertron Prime. They can't do it with Energon Prime The chest plates would be white & maybe purple/red glass? original Thunderclash colours - white cab with pink windows. also the whole rear does look similar to Cybrtron Prime. www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/g1/thunderclash/640/Trailer - white, gold, TurQ., red, purple

I would be surprised to see any more molds the same size or larger than Landshark given previous years offerings, to be honest

I keep hoping that they will do something amazing with this set and while Landshark has seriously dampened my expectations, Cyb Prime as Thunderclash would fall in to the amazing catorgory. If Flak ends up being a basic or smaller then there might be room in the budget. FP claim that even with the price rise and taking out th free saturday dinner that they are still having to absorb costs for this years convention, probably that means the location and set up, but it could mean a really fancy toy.

Well in all seriousness, a set of Energon Prime without his trailer BUT with Wingsaber (provided that was possible mold-wise) would be cool.
But with the existance of Landshark as the 'big mold' I doubt it

This is because Thunderclash is so bright, any photo taken of him whites out from the intense light. I hope

The only leaks this year have come from stolen factory toys rather than images I thought?
And people are always nicking factory toys

I doubt very much factory toys are just half-inched, despite the raving online. I'm sure money changes hands!

Without a shadow of a doubt it does. After all, I imagine the factory employees would be sacked for stealing.

Botcon Flak: www.botcon.com/BotCon09/figurePRE09.cfmHAHAHHA that mold will NEVER die. That said, I actually really really love this one. Easily the best looking colours that mold has seen, and probably the nicest piece in the set so far! AND it is a new guy!

Nah its micromaster Flak. It does look nice but I guess theres no hope of Thunderclash being as good as it could have been. Alas!

Has he been repainted before?
Don't recall seeing any version of it over here.

There is currently a Universe version of it doing the rounds. It is in Tesco in Falkirk (and not selling very well at all). It is quite a nice version though, done in a bit of a European Camo sort of look (swathes of green). I believe that there was a previous repaint either earlier in Universe or back in Classics that didn't materialise over here as well.
