Of course, if you have the Wingblade armour, you'll need a Prime to go with it.
Deluxe Prime as Hot Spot with the Wingblade Armour as his Defensor upgrade maybe?

Personally Im kind of hoping Hydrodive BB becomes Wasp with waspinator coloured jet/exosuit.
Possibly the same BB mould without jet as Cliffjumper (though two new heads for the one mould might be to much and activator CJ is not bad)
Wingblade Prime (assuming the wingblade bit isnt gang moulded to leader Prime the deluxe version would be fine) as Victorysaber.
Blackout as Whirl (that way I get at least one animted wreckers figure)
Arcee to Elita 1
A few people have suggested it could be aniamted Beast Wars in which case the Grimlock to Megatron sounds great. And Tigertron from the new Cheetor figure would be great for me and my Tigertron love.

I guess I'm just slightly negative towards deluxe BB. Its a bit clunky and the lines and anlges aren't quite as smooth as most Animated toys. Plus its a little to big. I don't honestly know what the Hydro bee is like and have been told the colours are terrible but even if we got a bee and wasp from it.

I just hope for stuff that will make fans of Animated happy, now that the Japanese line is winding down. It's always nice to see popular TF series have an extended after-life. There won't be new Animated stuff in shops so is exactly the kind of thing that Botcon can service well: giving fans what they would like but which isn't economically viable for regular shops. Hurray!

Yep, Animated has clearly been popular with the fanbase so I think this is a set that is very much in its natural element and one that will be well received. Perhaps not for me - I like Animated's aesthetic on the screen and some of the toys are decent, but it has proven to be one to those lines where the majority of the toys haven't really been my thing - but definitely a choice that I think speaks to the wider fandom.

Might be worth your while asking here and on MB2 if someone could pick one up for you. -Ralph I'm going to see what I can get for peeps who are wanting stuff, but my toy mules are in short supply this year. (Darn you Andy. Nick to - not my mule but he supplied rather a lot of people last year too) As for the set after a night to contemplate it has started to grow on me, but it does seem odd not to have simply opted for show characters without toys. Unless Hasbro or Taktom have plans skipping Wasp at the very least would be a mistake to me. however good the set after it people will still be wanting Wasp or TC, Elita 1 or Slipstream. Still there will be anywhere from 5 to 9 toys in addition to stunticons and Dead End looks really good so its not a total loss by any stretch. Wreck Gar to Motormaster could be one of the greats too. Sorry Andy, but research comes first. I would love to go back to Disneyland and I do like Animated toys even if I went cold on the show...
*checks schedule again*
Wait a minute... our summer term doesn't start back till June 11th. The convention is 2-5, and I guess I'd be leaving directly afterwards. I CAN GO! Botcon toys all round!
Hmm. Cheapest flights I can see are £558 through Expedia. Flying from Heathrow only saves me £20. Hmm.

I am half tempted to go to Botcon; I've always wanted to but I dunno, I think half the magic of a TF convention has been taken over by AA. Is it worth going? How much would it cost me?

Check you PMs in a few minutes but as too if its worth going, I would say yes. At least once if you have the time and money its worth the experience. And it is an experience.
I still find it hard to compare to AA. The last one in La was probably 10 time or more the size of AA, it also cost 10 times as much probably, but you can't just say it isn't 10 times better so its not as good a value for money. I'm not saying it isn't 10 times better, I don't think they are comparable in that sense.

To be honest, the toys have been the only selling point of Botcon for me. It's way too big for a social inadequate like me, too far away and much much too expensive. And, luckily, the toy sets for the last few years haven't appealed at all.
Now, I loves me some Animated, but going down the Stunticon route when thier were so many show characters who didn't get toys? That just seems too self-reverential to me, and could be a sign of Botcon disappearing up it's own bum.*
However, if they put out the Hot Shot toy, I could well start gnawing the walls!
*Just my opinion, mind!

I've always said I'd be tempted to go to Botcon and just sit in the bar the entire time with a t shirt that said beercon on it and sod all the pointless queuing.

I do actually agree with all that Whilst I do likethe idea of the stunticons getting a new incarnation, I still think they should have had the currently non-toy characters who could easily get toys made officially first (like Ramjet, Slipstream, Tap-Out etc)

Just when getting a full set of Animated toys seemed within reach..... That was the only thing about animated at botcon I wasn't happy about, but since Taktom started spewing out exclusives, the thought of a completely complete set has dwindled. Andy

That's how I got the toys I wanted from the last 2 years. RE: general comments regarding the set. Bear in mind there will be additional toys available so shoudl be enough variety all round. -Ralph

I'm starting to get a feel that Dead End's colours might have originally been intended for an SG version of Jazz for that SG episode that was planned for Season 4
