I dunno. Titans Return hasn't at all panned out as we expected. And has been quite a bit shorter in duration, as well. But then they also shot themselves in the foot by flooding the market with wave one, and only half of wave two, so severely everything else has been exceptionally difficult to find. (Seriously, that was like... nine months ago and that's still practically all there is to find, here) That may have resulted in retailers calling for TR to end. That wave 2 repack you lot got (we didn't) replacing the Decepticons with Autobots was distinctly odd. Thanks to the Trasmissions Podcast Leaks we have a good idea on lead times no, backed up by these new leaks and I'm not 100% sure if TR Wave 1 and 2 is early enough to cause the lin to be curtailed. Cause remaining stuff not to be ordered, yes, but that's a different thing entirely..... Gonna go away and think on this one..... Here in the UK what we got seems affected by where you are and what shops you have available to you. For example Ralph's seen very little, I've seen almost everything. Almost: I didn't see w2 Voyagers, haven't seen Broadside yet, haven't seen Sixshot or Skyshadow. Boxed stuff, with the exception of Wave 3 Voyagers, has been very hard to find. Legends and Deluxe, up to wave 4, have been good with the exception of Legends Wave 2 hich was thankfuly under distributed and limited to just 2 store chains (tescos and TRU). This is actually a good thing as it's retail poison with 3 taoe repaints in. Titanmasters were heavily sold in waves 1 and 2 and then disappeared. Nobody saw 3 and 4 hasn't been seen yet. I remember CW also got bunched up at the start in the US. We had the first wave a month before the US did, but then wave two got mixed up with it when it finally arrived Stateside. |

The biggest clincher on those pictures has come from Hasbro themselves though: they have asked at least one site to take them down! The TFW story has gone, though the discussion is stiil there. Seibertron have also removed them in the last hour or so. That site is very pro-Hasbro so I was surprised to see the story there at all, but it's gone now. |

Well we don't have that long to wait until we get the official images from Hascomn. Now that we're all moist and ready for them... So... TR gives us basically the PMOP we've dreamed of, but lacks the smaller optimus cab robot. Other than that, it's a really good update. Even though many details are different, he feels like he stepped out of a marvel comic. A year later, we're getting another PMOP that does have the cab robot, but is wildly "off model." Unless we get what amounts to as a "mini masterpiece" voyager, I'm really kinda burned out on G1 optimus. PotP could and should have been an Armada Prime update, IMO. Or RiD. I think we're all assuming that this is going to be a "Powermaster" Optimus just because of the history of the original G1 toys. I mean it'll definitely be a smaller robot combining with the trailer, but from that image, we can't tell for sure that it's going to be another Powermaster Prime homage. G1-styled, for sure, but it may be different. That said, we're dealing with a company that released a very similar version of the same mold in a box set with a different name (Magnus Prime) but not wildly different colours, all in the same line... so yeah, it'll probably be Powermaster Prime. I'm just hopeful there'll be enough differences to make it worthwhile... |

Are there any better photos of all mode for Rodimus? So far I've only seen the car mode, under car mode where we see Hotrod, Hotrod dumped ontop of the trailer with the top up so you see Hotrods feet are Rodimus Primes arms & Rodimus Prime in full - but no single image of Hotrod.

Seeing those pictures makes me think there must have been an intention at some point to use TR Hot Rod as Pointblank. This new Hot Rod Deluxe has the windscreen proportions right, the TR one in car mode is so narrow it looks like it was modeled with the intention of something else in mind. The windscreen is much closer to Pointblank's.

They do that every reveal panel. Big things they show a silhouette, get the audience hyped, and then the next slide show it off. They may talk a little bit about it during the silhouette.

Oh aye, that's all about showmanship. And to be fair, the only time that I'll actually allow (fucking) silhouettes. There's a thing coming... there's a thing coming... and here it is! That works fine in a presentation. Not as a reveal on t'Interwebs. Hence why I also hate the fucking things. ;-)

Yeah, but normally when something gets out like this (granted this one is unprecedented, and monumentally ballsy), Hasbro can't get the genie back in the bottle. Some sites cooperate to polite asks. But quite a few refuse (TFW has been bad about this in the past. As have TFormers), and in those instances, Hasbro has dropped it.
I'm kinda surprised to see what seems like everyone fall into line, this time.

Starscream is growing on me way more than CW Optimus ever did. To be honest, I never warmed up to that mold. But in less than a week, I've started to like Starscream.
Proportions are wonky, but they work better than FoC's weird Hulk arms and legs.

I do kind of feel it's a bit off; it was careless to leave the presentation like that, but it's still a kind of theft. I hope whoever was at fault isn't too harshly treated though, it's just toys after all...
As for why the sites fell in line, maybe the fandom has a bit more time for this design team? They have been very kind to us with CW/TR, and the leak largely showed that kindness was continuing.
