Seems likely though it'll probably have to be a pretty large scale remould.
It looks as though Elita 1 is a remould of Starscream which is an odd choice. I suppose theres no existing character that would obviously be voyager sized or suits the available voyager options, but the mould if it is based on Starscream should obviously be used for Slipstream.
I admit that would mean finding 4 female limbs and only ninjabot from Megatronia jumps out at me.

Very pleased about Terrorcons!
Delux Dinobots will be too small, especially Sludge. But it'll be great to see the Dinobots!
We finally get a voyager Strike Plane (which will hopefully be recoloured 5 times), and they give us tiny Dinobots...
4 delux and a voyager leader perfect for the Terrorcons though!
And Legends Beachcomber! Wooo!
I want a Prowl from that Jazz though.

If motherfucking MICHAEL BAY can give us more or less extremely anatomically accurate dinosaurs, these have no excuse.
Slag and Snarl are fine at deluxe. Grimlock is fine as a voyager. Swoop should be a legend. Sludge should be a leader.
And they have no reason to combine.

Things I really like from this leak:-
So many characters who can go into a "Masterforce cast" set - Pretenders, the Godmaster jets...
The Starscream mould looks really good, and I am quite looking forward to that and to the Elita One remould/deco (tempted to skip the Starscream and get the Elita-One instead).
Inferno - that fire tender looks great in red, especially after seeing a real-life equivalent in the metal at RAF Fairford (being bigged-up by its manufacturer who was chasing sales). I can see me getting Inferno as an eigth member of my NuProtectobots roster, so that they can have two different combined forms depending on whether they are on an "armed response" or a "rescue operations" mission. (Then I'd need a second combined form name to go alongside Ultima Iastus... *thumbs English/Latin dictionary*)
The Evil/Possessed/Duplicate Rodimus Prime (actually, from a story point of view I wouldn't mind if that was the lines Unicron - a body formed in parody of his enemies Chosen One has a certain ring to it)
Dinobots vs Predacons - it has a nice ring to it, pretty much Heroic Reptiles battling Evil Mammals. :-)

I'm old fashioned, but I take robot mode scale over dinosaur accuracy. So I'd hate a legends Swoop.
And I know that it's very much a personal thing, but the nostalgia goggles are on me way too hard with the Dinobots. G1 Dinobot aesthetic, inaccurate as it may be, is totally my jam.

It's because he's scared.
In his heart of hearts he knows what's coming.
He knows there are 12 or 13 Primes.
And thus 12 or 13 Primemasters.
Using 12 or 13 Pretender shells.
He can see Metalhawk. He can see Pretenders from the 6 sold in the UK. And he can see Pretenders from 1989.
And because of this last point he will spend the next 18 months living in fear of a certain character getting a Generations version.....
I think we all know who's coming don't we?

And "Please don't have them drag their tails" seems to be the absolute lowest bar in terms of not asking for much. Like... the bar is laying on the ground, it's so low. You have to dig under it, it's so low. I'm genuinely tired if "but they're not real." It's downright insulting at this point. The only people that get told this, are dinosaur fans. If hasbro did a straight repaint of Headstrong or Rhinox, and called it a hippo, no one at all would say "but it's not real!" to those who were calling it out as being as terrible as it is. Edit: I don't mean this to be combative. It's something that I get told all the time, everywhere. |

On topic, I have more thoughts.
Three waves of $50 Rodimus Primes, and two waves of a fairly superfluous Optimus Prime. Good lord, Primal is gonna be impossible to find.
I blew up Slash, but have no way currently to show it off. It looks kinda feminine. I also noticed the Skrapnel looks like the pinchers are vac-metallized. Cindersaur is a Slash repaint.
Zooming in on my phone, I'm becoming more skeptical than I was. Though real toys like Optimus Prime lend more weight to it.
I'm not judging the dinobots on animation model stand ins. I didn't realize they were, as it's not as obvious as the girls and terrorcons.

So... TR gives us basically the PMOP we've dreamed of, but lacks the smaller optimus cab robot. Other than that, it's a really good update. Even though many details are different, he feels like he stepped out of a marvel comic.
A year later, we're getting another PMOP that does have the cab robot, but is wildly "off model."
Unless we get what amounts to as a "mini masterpiece" voyager, I'm really kinda burned out on G1 optimus.
PotP could and should have been an Armada Prime update, IMO. Or RiD.
That aside, if these are all for real, it seems like this is gonna be a really short line. Only four leaders, and we've "seen" three, with the fourth rumored as an Ultra Magnus retool of Optimus.
Only 8 primemasters, 9 legends, 13 deluxes, and 5 voyagers.
And it seems like the line launches really soon. Meaning it'll be over by next fall.

Hasbro were throwing the 12 (13) Primes thing around at SDCC. There's 12 (13) symbols on the wheel So therefore I'd expect (as per 4 boxsets) there to be 12 (or 13) Primemasters. 8 revealed in waves of 2 or 3 equates to 2 more waves. There's 3 Autobots, 2 Decepticons and 2 Fembts missing - 7 toys which again equates to 2 more waves. |

That's assuming he only shows up in that wave. I'll have some cash on Thunderwing and Star Saber showing up as later toys. The Rodimus is in 2 waves, 1 & 3, too. In fact if that list is acurate, and there's every reason to believe it is, there's no reason to buy Leader Wave 1 if you buy by case/set. The use of stand ins goes back some while, the first shot of the leaked Wave 4 had several prior versions standing in so you're right not too dismiss them for that. The biggest clincher on those pictures has come from Hasbro themselves though: they have asked at least one site to take them down! The TFW story has gone, though the discussion is stiil there. I dunno. Titans Return hasn't at all panned out as we expected. And has been quite a bit shorter in duration, as well.
But then they also shot themselves in the foot by flooding the market with wave one, and only half of wave two, so severely everything else has been exceptionally difficult to find. (Seriously, that was like... nine months ago and that's still practically all there is to find, here)
That may have resulted in retailers calling for TR to end.
