I'd *like* for the line to be somewhat of an amalgamation of the Pretender and Beast Wars eras, with a line-wide emphasis on alt modes that are creatures. There are at least three further combiner 'forces' that they could hit up for it in the Predacons, Terrorcons and Seacons, Trypticon will be due that year, we could get randoms like the Monsterbots, Firecons or Headmaster Juniors alongside the more prominent classic Beast Wars characters with Pretender Beasts making up the 'voyager' class and tying the two themes more directly together.
My dream releases from such a line? Deluxe Tarantulas in a Transmetal inspired form. Voyager Carnivac (deluxe scale inner robot within larger articulated wolf, with comic-accurate back-mounted cannon) Leader Class Dinobots. G1 inspired. Staggered throughout the run. The ONLY leader classes of the line. ALL OF THEM.

Why should all dinobots be leader, though? I don't understand. They're not all huge. Too small for Sludge (to get the neck and tail, the robot wouldn't be much more than a voyager, and that's completely ignoring that it's be a dramitically undersized sauropod), and like, twice as large as Slag and Snarl should be.
Though I could get behind it if the excess size lead to a truly great stegosaur with proper tail and impressive plates, and not and oversized robot. Though Hasbro would never do that.
Old school leaders would be about perfect, if a bit undersized for Scorn/spinosaur. Ultra/New leader is good sized Grimlock. Voyager is best for Slag and Snarl. Deluxe with a scout sized robot with the class justification going to his wings, for Swoop. Nothing less than Supreme for Sludge.

Because with the Dinobots, especially G1 Dinobots, screw scientific/biological accuracy.
And leader class for each because their being huge was one of the few things the cartoon did that I prefer to the comics. Also, Grimlock NEEDS to be big enough to have a fist fight with PM Optimus Prime.

A leader sized swoop looks as rediculous and out of place to me in a line up, as a legend sized optimus or powerglide. I cannot reconcile the two. A pteranodon is small. It looks wrong. Just like a semi, or an A10 are humongous.

Your logic is flawed, beast modes don't need to be consistent. As is your logic flawed because Dinosaurs.

There is no pterodactyl. It's a Pteranodon.
And you are technically correct. But your logic is flawed because Dinosaurs.

There's never been a pterodactyl TF.
There's only been pteranodons, and two (three counting a repaint) quetzalcoatlus.

Is this a bronosaurus thing? Because the brontosaurus is real again!! I thought Sludge was a brontosaurus? Brontosaurus was decommissioned as a valid clade back in the seventies, I think. Maybe even earlier? The animal that was named Brontosaur was found to be too similar to Apatosaur. In such cases, the newer name is dropped, and the animal is assigned to the former. But since Brontosaur stubbornly clung to pop culture for no reason, they decided to give it to another apatosaur specimen that they found differences in that don't quite fit the clade description. I find it rather dubious. Either way, the "wrong head" explination of Brontosaur/Apatosaur is a myth.

Do you remember in Star Wars Attack Of The Clones when the Clone Troopers were hiding from Dooku and one of them said to another "Do you think Darth Tyranus saw us, Rex?"

But these are TITAN Masters, not Headmasters, and the reason for the new name was so they could incorporate the play-points of ALL of G1's Masters lines. Headmasters is just the most obvious, but they have exellent articulation and transforming gun partners (Target/Action Masters) which turn into things that the Titan Master is integral to (Powermasters) and that are tiny small and can inhabit larger dudes as vehicles and bases (Micromasters). All of this is why I speculate that the third and final part of this Prime Wars Trilogy will be heavily Beast and Pretender based. Agreed on the Pretenders for next line. Hadn't considered the Beast angle.. but could work well with a Pretender angle.

The 13/Primes are next, otherwise naming the whole thing "Prime Wars" makes absolutely zero sense. It would be akin to naming Armada/Energon/Cybertron the Unicron Trilogy, if Unicron was never once used.
