The Throne of the Primes... If the Primes are on the throne perhaps they need some licqourice? This is a very strange set indeed. But by that token, I actually quite like it - bonkers, and unexpected, is how some of my favourite exclusives have worked out. (I am also amused that the paper ties make it look as if Primal has been lashed to the chair. Perhaps he has been stung by a Rage Cyberbee again? :-) Karl |

cmon then phil estimate me a price! Off the top of my head I want to say 3 figures....... It is a VERY big box. Hmmm Leader £50 4 Primemasters at £5 each = £20, so £70 so far. Possibly a tenner for the crown and mace. £80 Then you're into SDCC exclusive premium...... I don't think you're looking at less than £80 for this, I'll be very surprised if it is. Equally my fag packet calcs there make me think £100 is probably more top whack for it. |

As was pointed out elsewhere, is this what the Toilet Troop listing was all about? I mean, Primal's on his throne. And, he has his troop of Prime Masters with him...
That aside, I bloody love this. I'm so very glad I've not yet bought Optimal Optimus yet, because I'm not sure I'd want that mold twice. So this is great news.
What's not such great news is that this is the only way to complete the collection of Primes. It's doubly disappointing that none of them have Pretender shells. I still can't help but feel that this is something of a rush job to finish the line as quickly as possible and clear shelf space for Bumblebee toys.
But this is, nevertheless, a nice and appropriately bonkers set for SDCC. Yes, it could be considered a missed opportunity for a Primal Prime repaint, but no-one would have predicted this, and that makes it better for me. Also it just looks really good in those colours. The only way they could have possibly improved on this was with Beast Machines colourings.
But yeah, this toy is properly fitting for the Prime that won the public vote. It will be mine.

And since we now know Prima is a repaint Octopunch/Solus that makes sense of the Counterpunch inclusion as that completes the wave 3 mould set over the three POTP Special Edition toys |

It was very satisfying to put the four deluxe Dinobots together on a shelf. Almost a full team that looks like the original toys. Did something funny to my brain.

There is something about the Dinobots particularly that reroutes your brain directly back to the golden age.
Of those SDCC exclusives, the most exciting to me is the Marvel set. The only thing I would actually like from the Transformers stuff is the Primemasters. I'd rather the Op mould in the right colours, and I'm not sure I need reissues of G1 cassettes that weren't released in the west anyway. I've no connection to them.
I've hovered over putting a Netflix Marvel Legends set together, and this set might just push me over the edge.
