Still, at least we now have the joy of Prime Masters with light piped knees. What a world we live in. You can't see it in the images but, due to the way these are constructed, it's likely the head is painted clear plastic too Prime Master's head, arms, upper legs & backpack and Decoy Suit's arms, weapon and front are all on one sprue. Prime Master's body & lower legs and Decoy Suit's body & 5mm handle are all on the other sprue. Same for all eight Primemasters: Landmine and Submarauder in particular use a lot of paint on heir decoy suits to achieve this! |

It's in the official images for Grand Max, which look actual toy photos rather than renders: That's what I thought. I'm sure if that's been made it will come out somewhere at some point. The only reason I could imagine it wouldn't is if Takara had their own moulds on the go for Pottop that got nixed by the new Hasbro directive for uniform worldwide releases. |

I've come to like the robot mode, even the oversized chest isn't too bad really, but the dinosaur is a shambles. I loved putting all the Terrorcons into beast mode together, but I didn't bother with the Dinobots.

So from left to right: Amalgamous, Nexus, 13th, Prima Amalgamous is the Micronus body, he would have been the Waverider retool of Cloudburst Nexus is the Alchemist body, so his shell would have been the retool of Submarauder Prima is the Solus body, his shell would have been the retool of Octopunch The 13th uses Qunintus' body and lower legs, the purple bits from Bludgeon, everything else is new.    |

And, since it's just been pointed out to me on Twitter....
Bludgeon's Purple parts are the same as the dark grey parts on Metalhawk and the yellow parts on Landmine.
While, with the exception of the front of the shell, Metalhawk's blue parts are Landmine's grey parts, a completely new set of parts for the Primemaster's arms, head & upper legs and the decoy suit's shell front, arms and weapon are used on Bludgeon

And the more I think about it, the more it seems like Primal Prime would have made at least as much sense and would have looked mental. Very very mental sat on that throne.
