The clue was in my genius of swapping Optimus Primal heads. You didn't swap the Primal heads, I did and nobody noticed apart from you!    I even put the hat on OpOp as a clue!  |

minor retool of Repugnus gets a brilliant Fangry. If you go back to Twinferno, you get the beast arms, tail and wings too. Just swap the dragon heads for head halves that become arms. Retool of skullcruncher gets a pretty great horri-bull. I'd go Slag for Horri-Bull. Loose the frill, new head. Need some work to get it Titanmaster compatible but ... |

Skullcruncher is already Horri-bull in large part. When his silhouette was revealed, no one could figure out if it was Horri-Bull, or Skullcruncher, because it seemed to fit both.
New beast head, new rear section. Same basic engineering.
Slag however doesn't look a thing like him.
And I think Grotusque is a better base because the base engineering has already been changed to make it work for Fangry. In large part he basically just needs a new beast head and he's ready to go. To get Twinferno there, you gotta do all the same reengineering work all over, and basically turn it into Repugnus first. So why not start there?

It never struck me until now, but it makes no sense shy that Primal's hands were cast in red. Can't think of any other red plastic used on it (the base figure. Surf board had some, and if that's the only thing linking the two molds, it's kind of a dumb move) and the original toy/character had neither red hands or beast feet.
