I prefer the one with a Starscream who looks like Star Saber on the back.

Now I'm just disappointed that I can't stick Dinobots to Rodimus Prime. Because clearly that would be the best thing ever.

That Warden chap gets on my tits a bit.
The original ideas look somewhat more interesting and pleasantly different than the sadly disappointing figure that made it to retail.

I just love that. I mean, aesthetically, it's all over the place, but that's part of the charm. And looks like it would've been great play value. And that Starscream remold into Star Saber... Well I guess we wouldn't have gotten Elita-1, but still, man, did they have a hissy fit when Primal won.

What's the odd jet on the front? Possibly a heavy retool of the TR Sky Shadow jet?

Well thank god they cancelled those plans, and saved us from the horrors of something new and interesting!
I may have added a little too much salt to my cereal.

But fans say it is the greatest Rodimus Prime toy ever. Warden says so!
The chap is probably a very talented toy designer and brand manager. Just don't stick him in front of a camera. His PR guff annoys me. It's not an easy thing to carry off!

The concept looks pretty cool, they should put that in the crowdfund thing.

His PR guff annoys me. It's not an easy thing to carry off! -Ralph Your comments make me realise I've never watched him, I only read his comments in transcribed interviews. I almost never watch videos online. For me it's the choice between 30 seconds reading a pictorial article or 5 mins watching a video, even with skipping. Unfortunately transcribed interviews seem to be becoming a lot less prevalent these days. It's like the kids today never experienced the days of dial up! On to stop Phil deleting this post - I like what Warden is doing. It would be useful to see a Warden-era vs Archer-era comparison.

Videos instead of text online for reviews or announcements do vex me as well. I am rarely somewhere I can sit and watch a video on my phone etc and as you say it is not as fast as reading through a good interview or article for gathering the gist or details of the content. As with Ralph I find the style of many videos to be annoying rather than helpful as well. That said there is space for them if they are needed to illustrate something, just I would rather they were not the norm.
I feel so old.

Well I guess we wouldn't have gotten Elita-1, but still, man, did they have a hissy fit when Primal won. I wonder what the running order was there. Starsaber was by the looks and its G1 gimmick and Primals size, surely intended to be a leader with the Starscream repaint being a deluxe Starscream that powers up Oh my god!!!!! They were going to make Action Master Thundercracker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmhmm, Sorry. So unless they were going with multiple Starscreams that means no Voyager Starsream, but does that mean no Elita1? Or was Elita always planned, but when Starsaber and AMTC was canned was Elita hastily repurposed as Starscream? In which case I wonder what if any planned repaint or remould was ditched to make room for Starscream. Leozack springs to mind, in some respects it would make a better match for Dreadwind and Darkwing and certainly suit the mould more.

Now I'm just disappointed that I can't stick Dinobots to Rodimus Prime. Because clearly that would be the best thing ever. That is wonderfully mad. A Rodimus whose vehicle mode can combine with other robots like some sort of Brave leader? I'd have been interested in buying that. Instead we got a Rodimus which is a bit "second verse, same as the first", and very much the more boring of the options. All, I suspect in pursuit of making something that was like it was before. Emblematic of the reason that my interest in recent Transformers lines has been less than it might otherwise have been. I would have welcomed something mad and bonkers simply because it was something a bit different. Ah well, it is not to be. Karl (Haven't watched the interview. I think there should always be transcripts. I can read faster than your interviewee can speak - unless they are XS or Quicksilver, and also a transcript helps for things like comprehension where a common language is shared, or an accent is difficult to follow, or whatever.)
