Thanks for the poo update, Phil It was in the thread on Twitter! I didn't want to be accused of editing the account and ending up on trial at Christmas.

Why would this concern me? When Nick travels the sun comes out in my experience. Beautiful blue skies here in Manchester today with intermittent cloud. Coincidence??

I had travel chaos on the friday, which included but was not limited to:
Starting my journey in a small town I had never been to before missing a train, which meant an hour wait ticket office being closed, with a sign on the door saying to buy tickets at the machine the machine being out of order the ticket website insisting that they had sold out of tickets realising the waiting room was the same locked room as the ticket office rain nearly walking off the shallow end of a dark platform and of course: Train delays.
Had one cancelled on the way back too...

Hum dinger of a travel chaos story tonight. Suffice to say not home yet and traveling in the wrong direction towards reading. Absolute nightmare and am going to have to call in family favours to get home.

Home 4.30am. This is what happens when London transport decide to shut the tube station outside Wembley Stadium just as 83 thousand people are trying to get home.

Pinwig has anti-chaos tonight. Thought we were stuck at Portsmouth for 35 minutes waiting for a train while a drunken fight was going on in the station forecourt, but the previous train was so badly delayed it turned up just after we stepped onto the platform.

Knowing you were in Wales, was that the Cardiff to Portsmouth you were on?

No, I wasn't in Wales. I was in Portsmouth heading home. Just a night out at the theatre.

May be the quickest way. The M25 south is shut at the moment. May have to go to Reading to go south. Sigh.

Eyes down for a full house www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-67784644Christmas getaway journeys are ruined for thousands after a strike in France closes the Channel Tunnel and Storm Pia winds cause chaos elsewhere Eurostar and LeShuttle services were suspended earlier due to an unexpected walkout by Eurotunnel workers Crowds of passengers were left stranded at St Pancras after Eurostar cancelled 30 trains Rail services at London Euston have also been severely disrupted after power problems meant all lines to and from the station were blocked Trains to and from Scotland, north-west England and the West Midlands have been delayed or cancelled You can probably guess what is happening
