Still the Takara version for me. Colour scheme more 'correct' on both Max and Cerebros. Alleged Marvel head on Hasbro version not that accurate.

The head that Spike forms for Cerebros. The Marvel/Sunbow version is round with a faceplate.  The toy/Headmasters version is a mini Max head.   |

With the SDCC one sat just feet from me all weekend I cracked and preordered it. £159.00 delivered.
In the plastic it looked far more acceptable. Apart from the red legs. The red legs are still awful. They make me cry. But I can hide Maxs shame behind other large Transformers.
I also grabbed the SDCC 3 pack because., well mostly because iit was only a little bit more expensive than the retail equvilant and saves me tracking down a possibly hard to find Brainstorm. Plus translucent orange Sentinel.

Just double checking - the pictures of Max with red feet were early promo pics? All three release versions are blue?

That seems to be the case, yeah. That's one of the reasons why I switched to Takara. Red all the way down the legs looked good. Red knees and shins with blue feet doesn't look quite as good.

I'm just wondering now if it might be possible to paint the red gun housings. The Hasbro Cerebros is a lovely looking figure. It's odd that Hasbro have gone as close to G1 toy as they can get with the colours on all these figures, apart from Fort Max. The Takara one is G1 Max on the nose.
