So that's SDCC Max ceremonially giving Takara Max his sword? Same sword for both figures then. There's really very little between those two looking at them together.

There's some colour difference in the painted detail  Much prefer the asia exclusive master sword. No buyers remorse there at all now I see this. You can thank me for buying it and thus setting in motion the chain of events that forces this max to have a sword. Now what about the gun? |

The form book suggests we'll get stiffed somewhere.
Devastator didn't come out here in the shops, and wasn't available anywhere non importing till Amazon UK got some.
But maybe a little early to be sure yet

Will Fort Max come out here, do you think? Not a chance. Metroplex had minimal distribution. CW Devastator was skipped entirely. Hasbro UK's big ticket Transformers item last Christmas was the £100 green repaint of Chomp And Stomp Grimlock which stiffed at retail big time. I will eat my socks if Fort Max gets a release over here. Not imported in comic/toy speciality shops: a proper UK mainline release. -Ralph |

That said, the releases here when we get them are largely in line with the US, so time is ticking on Max as he's been out a while over there. TRU had listed Computron hadn't they? No hint of Max anywhere.

Hats aside, Ralph's right. When you're dealing with a company who decided that given that the previous year's big Christmas item didn't shift at full price, they should try selling it at full price again, but IN GREEN, then who knows what they'll do. Most likely they'll consider the Rescue Bots fire house to be the big Christmas item for Transformers. Or something.
Still, at least kids today are now getting the *proper* Transformers collecting experience. "Mummy, can I have that exciting toy for Christmas?" "Sorry Timmy, for reasons unknown to me it's not getting a UK release - you'll have to obsess about it for the rest of your childhood and then end up buying it from eBay when you're twenty years older..."

Having thought about it, the September batch of Legends is a large one, numbered LG27-31, 5 toys which I think is the most Legends released at once: Two Legends (size), One Deluxe, One Leader & Max. Max is the highest numbered of those at LG-31. It's almost as if they've designed it for him to be delayed.... |
