I just managed to finally watch Battle of the Rock Lords and it made me miss my old figures. I owned Brimstone and Granite back in the day, both of which were pretty cool whilst my brother owned Slimestone and Nuggit. I liked Granite and Brimstone for being solid looking tough guys I guess. Nuggit and Slimestone were pretty outstanding considering they both transformed into rounded things which were rare modes at the time (the takara egg things are the only other round toys I can think of). I still have a Marbles somewhere. (affix 'Losing my Marbles' pun somewhere) I think the Rock Lords from the Flatt household were sold off for chump change alongside a lot of my Transformers. I want to get these guys back after immersing in the feature length toy ad. Either way, I figured I'd start expressing some Rock Lord love here and hopefully start a thread others can enjoy too. Check out this site btw: www.ikp.uni-koeln.de/~scholl/rock/rl.html===KEN

Personally, although they were not Rocklords, I always thought that the Rock-beings from Inhunanoids were far preferable to Rocklords. I used to own them and they were very bendy - at least for rocks.
My only Rocklord however was...perhaps it was slimestone? He was certainly round and silver and had an oval face, green eyes and a triangled toothy "grin"

I lost out on an auction for a carded Granite, but got a good deal on a loose one instead.
My Rock Lord re-acquisition and more is starting as of today!

It's true. I'll let pretty much anyone handle my rocks.
The little silver dude is indeed Slimestone. I actually won a Rock Lords lot today and now find myself with an extra Boulder and "Spike Stone" Rockasaur. I also have an extra Brimstone kicking about if anybody wants one.

You know what I like about Rock Lords? There's only about 25 of them and the majority of them go for about two quid a throw. You know what I don't like? I've got almost all of the cheap ones and some of the expensive ones cost a frigging fortune when they very occasionally show up Still, it could be worse. I could be trying to get every last Gobot as well. -Nick

Part of me would love to collect Rock Lords. But I think I'm buying too much as it is. I forgot to bid on a complete Monsterous last night, it went for 23 quid. I am all

In the spirit of throwing away all my cash, what is the going rate for the fossil combiner. I have someone wanting to sell me one which is apparently boxed with all its parts (including pellets). Obviously for a hefty amount though!

Whoa- sorry I didn't see this back when it was relevant.
Did you go for the Fossil Lords at the time? I have no idea what they're worth as I have only ever seen one set- the Japanese version boxed on Yahoo Japan and that sold for about 200 quid!

I didn't in the end, mostly because I have no idea what they were worth, and I didn't really want to drop a load of cash on something so outside my comfort sphere just for the novelty value.
