There's a stylised piece of art in the rear of the original TF Generations book that this reminds me of. The detailing in particular!

My first thought was its too long and it looks at first glance like theres little potetial for shoulder and hip articulation.
Looking at it more the legs can probably be more crouched down to make it look shorter. Im still not sure about the articulation.

Hot diggity!
Tail's a bit stumpy, but other than that, I like it!

Wow. Other than the stumpy tail that looks like a giant version of the original toy but with more detail. Amazing. And looking at his chest he still comes with his little chum! Can't wait to see what base mode is!

Hmmmm But do we still think they'll remold him into Scorponok??

I think the tail may be the angle we're looking at it Attachments:

Hmmmm But do we still think they'll remold him into Scorponok?? Would need to see it from other angles to see if that was possible to use bits from it, ie the way Max was made partially from bits of Metroplex. -Ralph

Before I saw it, I assumed they'd remold him by flipping him upsidedown with his legs as the scorpion claws and a tail where the head is. But the body's so boxy, I'm not sure now!!

It could still work. trypticons back could end up being Scorponoks front. Or the space for "little car guy" could just have a scorponok front plugged in. tryps head then gets replaced by a hips, legs and tail assembley, they might even be able to reuse tryps tail.
The only real question I would have is if they could make it on budget. Scorps arms wouldn't be much if any smaller than Tryp. The tail too, but from somewhere they'd have to find the plastic for a brand new set of legs.

Im still not liking the level of detail. Just seems excessive. Especially on the arms.

Don't panic yet. The renders always look overly fussy and too detailed compared to the actual toys to me.

Weeeeeelllll... It looks big and detailed. And given what we've seen of the leg already, I'm hoping it'll be a lot more poseable than it looks. I was, however... hoping for something a little more stylised. As we've seen in interpretations in other media over the years. This looks... quite straightforward.
BUT! It's only a leaked render. And it's a two-foot-tall robot dinosaur city thing! I really don't think it's going to disappoint in the flesh. Plastic. Flashtic.

I guess I was hoping more dinosaur, less kaiju.
It's odd that I find it simultaneously too G1, and not G1 enough. Something just feels hinky.

Stubby undersized tail aside, I think I got it. It's too over detailed. Like many 3Ps, it's like they didn't know when to stop adding detail.
If they'd taken more liberties and updated his general design, it wouldn't be so off. But with his overall general appearance and shape being sooooo G1, it just doesn't work.

The only thing that would make this essential for me is if a really good Flywheels is revealed soon.

Is it me or does the clear orange bit on the head look an odd shape? It folded forward to cover the head to cover the gun on the original version, here it looks like it fold the other way, possibly back onto the top rear of the head head indicating a Titanmaster compartment?

I can see Trypticon's "split the front open and fold out to the sides" base mode TF, and we already know the the legs can split thanks to the NYCC video.
But look at the panels the arms (rectangular, purple) and legs (embedded in the body, green) are attached to. Both look like they have hinges at the top enabling them to fold UP, with the arms sitting alongside the head and the legs pointing out to the sides, but like a wall rather than flat.
What's that going to do in a different mode?

Right, let get those teaser images back out: Not much to see on this first one now we have the full size version bar a peak at the back: This is much more interesting: First picture is a bit of a mystery, but we can place the second as those three striped to the left of the picture appear on the tail. So that's Trypticon, on his back, and looking at the other side of the toy to yesterday's image These two are the same location as above right, note the bank of three blocks on the wall. Both feature the ramp folded down which is folded up in the above picture. Also note the block over the doorway moves between shots

Mystery ramp photo is his chest in dino mode opening like in Call of the Primitives:

Looking again I'm not sure the 3 stripes on the base mode is as far down the tail as I though. This picture, which I've stretched cos the original proportions looked off places it nearer the base of the tail, possibly in an area obscured by the leg in yesterday's image. Now it's a bit bigger I can see Trypticon's Titanmaster (colours match) riding in Megatron's gun, Full Tilt on top of the base mode and the head towards the right.
