I'm an idiot!  Purple panels fold up 180° exposing what's underneath .... which is a cavity. You can see that at the bottom left of the panel, just to the left of his elbow. The green panels the legs are attached to also fold up 180° with the legs folding down 180° mounting the legs in the shoulder position for base mode! |

Hmmm. More Devastator height than Metroplex. Shame they won't be like for like, but then Trypt's added bulk was always going to make that unlikely. By the time this comes out it's going to cost at least £150 even for the Hasbro one, isn't it. Don't think I'll go the Takara route this time. |

Yeah pretty much everyone in the UK owns the SDCC Max instead of the retail one, as the retail one barely hit shelves (up for a few days at tesco) whereas the SDCC one was pretty much the same price online due to basically some sort of apocalypse where UK online stores seemingly ordered a billionty of them!!! |

You know the orange type central bit on the legs hip area. We can see 3 parts on the hip going forwards & a shadow at the rear & it looks like the whole circle central may rise up. It is not connected to the 3 bits - unless the whole leg lifts out & the centre part stays put.
The chest looks like a CW redo - something like Dragstrip crossed with someone else

My mind has just boggled at the mad idea that Full Tilt turns into a giant head for an unseen humanoid robot mode! I now want this to happen in reality.

Well, his head doesn't transform, so trypticon isn't a headmaster. Meaning Full Tilt would be. However, looking closely at him, he doesn't have an obvious cockpit. So I wonder if he's not PotP over TR. |

Looks like they turned that weird battlestation mode into something that passes as a starship/carrier, without really changing it much. I approve.
The oversculpting isn't as obnoxious on the actual toy, as it is in the renders.
