Hes going to look short compared to Max and Plex. Plenty of bulk, but probably not going to be much taller than Devvy.

I love how those chaps in the video get very excited about feeding Titanmasters to Trypticon but never bother transforming it.

Alright, that video changed my mind! All figure review videos should be like this, just without the weird doll pics in the background.

Pretty sure those are pics of Blythe dolls, one of Takara's quite successful lines; many years ago I found common ground with a female colleague as we were both receiving packages from HLJ, her of Blythe and me of TFs.

TRYPTICON

What does 'Trypticon' actually mean? 'Tryptic' means of or pertaining to trypsin. Trypsin is the chief digestive enzyme of the pancreatic juice, an endopeptidase which splits proteins into polypeptides. Martin

No no no Martin. No no no.
Typt means 'three', of course. Trypticon = Three Decepticons. And as we all know, Trypticon is the Dinosaur, Full-Tilt and Brunt.
Have Hasbro released a Brunt with the new Trypticon?

Okay, so a triptych is a hinged three panel painting where the two panels either side of the main one fold in to close it up.
Which is how Trypticon transforms from city to robot. If you pull him open he is a triptych - a central body with two hinged side pieces.

It's because he tries to trip people.

Or that he trips over his own feet while trying to walk, which is a pretty accurate description of his walking motion.

Was he still naming the toys at that point? -Ralph

If you don't think Trypticon is named for the word 'tryptic', then he can only be exhorting his colleagues to 'Try PTI, 'Con!'
But what is PTI?
There are lots of meanings for PTI out there, among them Physical Training Instructor, Personal Telephone Integration, Pre-Trial Intervention, Pre-Tax Income, Positive Target Identification, Part-Time Indian, Parent Teacher Interview and Pardon The Interruption.
