Let’s see, had a bit of a catch up this week, so! Got a replacement TW Roar and UT Siegfried to replace the ones I murdered. XTB trailer in, honestly don’t really think this set was worth it now, the separate robots are pretty optional. Iron Factory IDW Magnus arrived and is super chonky. Ordered MMC Arcee n the Kapow restock on a whim too, whoops.
Athena is fantastic! Hoping to get word on my Smokey this week, been using Terry’s TF Club but the guy has some stuff going on so shipping is a bit slower atm
Smokey arrived today. Having seen the XTB madness with their Menasor I'm intrigued now to see what happens when FT finally give us Dead End. I reckon there's a nasty surprise coming along the same lines.
FT Spindrift 2.0 arrived out of nowhere. Family photos this weekend with FT Warpath and Beachcomber. Three of the five in MP form together! I'd really like to see them do Cosmos so I can lose that nagging feeling I should have bought x-transbots Klaatu. Although I think minibot-wise they've got Huffer on the slate next.
Tried several times today to get a decent picture of these three but I haven't managed it yet - can't get the colours right in the light. They're warmer than they look here. Spindrift is definitely the best looking of the three and gives a bit of life to Dunerunner - he alone looked a bit weak, but with Spindrift the aesthetic comes out properly. The weird one is Sheridan - he's pretty lanky and his look is more a toy/toon hybrid than the toon of the other two. Doesn't *quite* fit. Still, they do look good together.
I see what you mean there, Pins. Dunecomber does look a tad bland, and yes Sheridan does look a tad lean.
Spindrift 2 is perfection though. Just the right side of chunky. And has all the charm of the G1 stylisation mixed with modern articulation and a nip of Sunbow. Lovely looking figure. God I love Seaspray. Makes me wish I still collected the Masterpiece scale.
All amazing figures. I'm very envious.

New Age Constructicons in, these are pretty great. Might have to pick up some more NA things. Also got in the Badcube Insecticon reissues and these.. have not aged well tbh.
New Age do tremendous little figures. I have their Prowl, Bumblebee and Cosmos. They're not cheap these days, so I've backed away, but Bumblebee and Cosmos are frankly perfection. Upscaled these designs would be the quintessential G1 versions of these characters.
Didn't know they'd done Constructions though. I demand pictures!

Dear god's, I read that as "Ace Hitler" at first. I've reading too many history books.

There's a funeral place near Phil's called Hillier's but due to the type face the first time I ever saw the sign I misread it as 'Hitlers' and was dumbfounded until my brain caught up and read the sign properly.
