This chap turned up today Really happy, I've wanted one forever! He's in great condition apart from a missing pin in the leg flap; this doesnt affect it one bit, and I can always find a replacement pin. He's HUGE though! Just a head smaller than Blaster!

I'd sold some older stuff to try to raise money for MP Ramjet, but decided it was just too much money.
So, with funds burning a hole in my Paypal account, I decided to finally put to bed a Masterpiece question I've been asking myself for a good while.
R E F L E C T O R
I've always been intrigued by his cartoon appearance, and have been eyeing one of the two 3P Sunbow style Reflectors that are about at the mo. They'd been going for at least 100 pounds, often more, and I hadn't wanted to spend that much. Then I spotted a second hand mint condition one from a UK ebayer for 70 quid! And thought, yeah, I'll have that! It's still a lot, but I felt I needed a plastic injection after the disappointment of Ramjet and Shockwave.
Well, he's here! It's the MAKETOYS VISUALIZERS set. I really couldn't make my mind up between this one and the one by Fanstoys. Fanstoys in many ways looked better, but Maketoys seemed to have better faces and deeper colours. Anyway, the cheaper price answered that question for me!
Visualizer is BRILLIANT. What a superb toy. I don't think I've had anything from Maketoys before... Really solid, great design, and they look fantastic. I may do a review I'm so pleased. I couldn't decide if I needed a Reflector in my MP collection. But now I have one, I'm over the moon. He looks wonderful stood with the rest of my MP Decepticons. That's series one totally complete now! Major hardcore nostalgasms going on here!

I'm not in a mad rush for it but hes a fairly well loved character(s) and a top toy so I'm surprised they haven't gone for it before now. Too much easy money to be made from reprints? After our Warpath discussion the other day I'm considering my first 3P purchase. Badcube Wardog Veteran has a great battle damaged colour scheme, hes the right shade, he has the chest cannon. However he's £110 on Kapow and pre orders sold out so it's a case of waiting to see if there's any retail stock or $110 plus shipping and CUTA from BBTS.

Wardog does look pretty fab. Very beffy. Nickos has one. I demanded a review, but it appears he puts his work and career over doing 3P TF reviews!!!!
I didn't consider getting him for long. Partly due to the expense. But mainly because if I get one of The Five (the '85 mini-bots), I'd have to get them all. Which is just too bonkers. I have them all in CHUG (kind of) so that'll do.
I may, however, consider a Seaspray should someone ever did one. I love Seaspray.

It's the Veteran edition I'm looking at. Looks great in the pictures. The HFTD Sea Spray is a good toy, I'd recommend it if you can pick it up cheaply. Here's Wardog Veteran:

www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=ITC10039&mode=retailSo these guys came in, today. BBTS had a one day sale a while back that knocked them down to $30 (£20) And oh my goddess are the bad. They are exactly like they look. Cheap material, cheapish construction. And as they look, they are the original minibot design scaled up with added articulation. They do have a surprising range of movement, though. Sizewise, they match the BW/MW basics For thirty bucks, they're great! But at $50, I'd start to feel ripped off. And at their full price, I feel sorry for anyone who bought them at that. They would have been amazing though if there were more thought put into the designs, such as giving them heads that aren't two dimensional. There's so much room inside it, there's no reason the head mechanism couldn't allow for that. They were really smart in their character choices, though. There are three distinct shells: Beetle (x4), Sportscar (x3), and Sedan (x2). No face is used more than twice. Beetle is used for Bumble Bug, Gold Bee, Glypher, and Bee Bite. Two faces, cartoon Bumblebee, and toy Bumblebee. The cartoon face is used for Bumble and Bee Bite, the toy for Gold and Glyph Sportscar is used for Hill Jumper, Hub, and Tapper. Face is shared between Hill and Tap Sedan is used for Bump and Wasper. very clever using this and not bumblebee for Wasp. They look kind of odd and under detailed a classics display, but I imagine they'd look pretty decent in a true G1 display.

I know *someone* had to have bought them at $270, but I can't imagine who. I had a mild curiosity in them, and a particular interest in tapout, glyph, bumper, and wasp. Was waiting on them getting low enough. Figured they weren't likely to ever get lower than thirty bucks.
Actually debating on getting the three black con exclusives just to complete the entire set.

I got the Bumblebee off ebay yonks ago for, oh blimey, fifteen pounds max. I agree with your views on them, CJ, quality and looks-wise. But, he -kind of- fits in my Classics display, almost... Classics BB is too big for me, you see, and Legends is too small. So this version kinda fits.

That is truly magnificent. Outstanding acquisition! Is that the lot now then? Are you rock lord complete? Nearly! I am still missing: Narlibat Snarlie Narlie Rock Pot vehicle I also need a non-yellowed Rock Roller The Narlies especially are likely to be miserable purchases as my god the prices they command. I regret not pulling the trigger on a £35 BiN Narlibat a while back. It went almost instantly. I didn't because OH MY GOD WHAT.
