I've never transformed him.
Too frightened!

FT Variator (Gears) is here. Lovely chunky little figure. The one thing the FT minibots have going for them is a nice uniform feel. They may be heavily Sunbow driven, but they do all look like they're supposed to go together. That's Huffer, Cliffjumper, Brawn and Gears all done now. I must get the others out at the weekend for a team photo.

I finally acquired a Fanstoys Roadking a couple of weeks ago and it is amazing. A very complicated, but not frustrating transformation - I love the way it compacts down to robot mode. Genius! I'm having a wobble with these. The FT combiner robots look stunning together, particularly the Aerialbots, but I read the final limb figure for each of the Aerialbots and Stunticons will come with the parts necessary to combine the teams - but will cost over £300 each as a consequence. Dead End is the only Stunt left to come out, but £320 for him just to get whatever solution they've cooked up for the combination too? There are two Aerialbots left to come, so that'd be £140 plus for one probably and then another £320 for Slingshot and the Superion parts. Best part of a grand to finish off two MP Combiners? As much as I love these figures I just don't know.

Well to be more precise, around £750-800 for three limbs and the parts necessary to make Menasor and Superion. The other five limbs and Silverbolt/Motormaster came out ages ago.

I've no idea how they would make the Fanstoys Stunticons combine at all - Roadking/Motormaster just seems way to heavy to be supported by anything. I also can't see anyway he would fold up to form a torso.

There's definitely some chicanery going on. KFC's one had a frame like the recent Hasbro one so I don't think this will be any different.

Acquired a Zeta toys core star whatever its called that looks just like Unicron from Transformers.
Absolutely magic transformation and wonderfully accurate in both modes.
