MT Vulcan arrived today, so now I have a complete Guardia. The combined form is fantastic. The amount of tabs and slots you need to get there are not so much. Also Axle really lets the whole team down, I get that making a motorcycle turn into a robot must be hard, but he really is so weak.

I went a bit hazy at TFNation. And picked up:

Maketoys Striker Manus (or "Strike M'Anus" as I am now referring to him). A fantastic figure. It seemed pointless when I saw the first pictures (*another* Optimus Prime rip-off?!?) but it's so poseable. It's great.

And the big one, for those who didn't see me walking round looking a little stunned... Maketoys Pandinus. I've opened the box to check him, but haven't been able to get him out yet. But. Yeah.

And finally, last but far from least... Nuggit!

I think I may have gotten more than a little carried away there...

On the one hand wow! I do really like it.

But, I honestly would be so bored with these guys if I'd gone after the full set. A one of purchase Im fine with, but a full set of them ugh! I can justify Sludge being that big, the other Dinos not so much, plus hes the best looking all round of the four imo. The others all have design choices I really dont like. The only problem I'm having with Sludge is the red of the chest is too dark, but thats pretty minor.

Well. Two months later, I finally decided that I'd done enough work tidying the new fortress and I'd managed to clear a bit of space and so... Pandinus is free!

And bloody hell, that thing is amazing.

I mean, it goes without saying that he's big. Mind bogglingy big. He also manages to *look* big in a way that Generations Metroplex never did (despite being shorter). And he's so solid and chunky.

All the modes are gorgeous. Not G1 accurate, no, but they do their own thing, and they do it wonderfully. The Temple mode is of course superb, but I was surprised at how much I like the robot mode. And he's covered in little hatches and compartments that look like they'll be just perfect for Titan Masters.

I need to spend a lot more time with this thing. In the couple of hours I had spare this evening I barely got a taste. But if anyone saw my face at TFN... I've got the same one right now.

It's open! Oh FansToys, you never disappoint. I haven't even transformed it yet, but everybody should have one!
It's got a nice solid weight, the finish is great. The two cannons are amazing. I am in love.

Ooh I like quick and dirty. That's a nice size; slightly taller and more imposing than Prime. Which means he'd edge MP Megatron too. This is where the impossible scale problem comes in, because even though that's right, he'll look a bit small next to MP Magnus. He does look very nice though. Hmm...

Something about the chest isn't quite right for me I think, it could have needed a bit more of a movie paint job to break up the massive purple block. Still worth it though!

A Decepticon logo might help that, but I can see it would be awkward to position well over the angle.

As well as my haul of official TFs, I also returned from Singapore with:

Iron Factory's War Within Prime thing
Iron Factory's Lord Scorpion (Scorponok)
Maketoys' Rioter Despotoron

So far I've only opened and played with WW Prime. The base robot I like a lot, mainly because, as I've said a thousand times elsewhere, I love Don's design. The "Apex Armour" accessories... are okay. Although I'm not quite so keen given that it limits arm movement and thus poseability. Although the big sword is nice.

Oh yeah, and also, with the WW Prime:

A kind of take on Elita-1, based on their previous take on Arcee. As an extra for WW Prime. Which is most odd. And cute.
