Season 2 has a reduced count of 19, the planned season 3 no longer happening. Apparently Aligned is dead and we may be getting a movie prequel next

19 is a really odd number. I suppose they're looking at the popularity of rebels and thinking about their expanded universe idea. A cartoon tied to the movie sounds likely given the direction they're taking.

Er all I can see are inferences made by a news site rather than direct quotes with regards to a 'final' episode tally.

Also it is on the Cartoon Network death slot of 6.30am. I mean sure it might not be cancelled after a shortened season 2 after all, but suddenly changing the episode total when before they were advertising 3 full seasons worth is a bit suspect. And it's not like it set the world on fire, though that's a combination of lackluster show, terrible scheduling and everything making it online before it even started. I'd rather another season of that than a movie-tie in show though D:

It makes sense. I thought the point of the writers' room was to outline plots for a new shared universe based on the first four films that would then also extend into other media. They've deviated from the aligned continuity, so RiD doesn't fit this new direction. If these decisions are being made now, it might just be that right at this point the next 19 episodes of RiD are the ones that are advanced enough in production that it wouldn't be cost effective to stop them.
But that also implies that the writers' room is creating plots and futures for the mainstream kids toy lines and not Hasbro's R&D dept, and I dunno if that would happen.

Series 2 info - looks like we could have repaints of the toys in desert strike attack repaints modes.
It's such a massive hit TV series they are scrapping it. They must have the press release mixed up with Rescuebots. Has the RID cartoon been more of an hit that the toys for the line?

The overall planned order of episodes for the show was reduced so clearly it underperformed expectations. I mean, they have to market it like that though. You can't say "Proudly presenting season 2 of this horrible albatross around our neck that we're stuck with due to contractual issues!"

March for Season 2 then - Hasbro trailer:
I know very few are interested, but I am, so what do we surmise from this? Is Strongarm in shadow there or are we looking at a more black repaint? Looks like a repaint to me. Prime & Windblade becoming regular cast? (in which case we need a Windblade Warrior figure) and Prime getting a new paint job/alt mode.

But when do we get it in the UK? At least we have a comic which might be cancelled with #7

Well last time we had a lot of Season one before America, so it could be the same case again.

This is no confirmation dates at all - but looks like series 2 is on CITV 28/3/16 after showing the whole series 2 twice. At least on CITV we get no adverts in the middle so makes it easy to copy onto DVD's.

ep 27,28 on 700 - 800 12/3/16. No word when CITV are showing them - so might be 2 weeks later but without ads.

The CITV showings went a couple of weeks back when they concluded the first season.

Yes CN - so have ads. But CITV might have it on from the end of the month because of news reports. But are we getting it before the US?

You know when we saw all the news saying the cartoon was on back in March 2016 & had bit for UK saying CITV (I can't find it on the news sites because the whole Titan Returns Fort max stuff have pushed it down the pages) But did hint that CITV was showing series 2 this month - but this would mean they would get in front of CN within a month with showing the cartoon 5 eps each week. Philip - I found your comments you made back on 4/1/16 on tformers. news.tfw2005.com/2016/01/04/transformers-robots-disguise-season-2-release-date-info-307413

They are a bit slow reporting that seeing I posted it last weekend. Also if you read it says about CN showing series 1 then someone says we have not had series 1 at all. Series 1 shown in UK 7/3/15-18/10/15 then repeated endless times & shown on CITV.

The animation for ep 27-29 is a lot better than series 1. But next saturdays ep is bound to be rubbish on the story side because of who wrote it but we might be a head of US then on ep 31 onwards. Site stated airdate for 30 is 12/3/16 & they have one ep each week unlike in UK we get 2 eps per week.

Just watched the first two eps of the new season. Really enjoyed them. The larger team makes for more diversity, and the idea that Prime is a liability and needs supporting by the rest is original and interesting. It has also kept Bumblebee in charge. His revenge mission has matured him a little - he seems more grown up. I like Overload too - the idea that because he's the Decepticons' top spy he's an actor is clever. I must now seek out the Deployer of him.
The four at the North Pole in Arctic camo looked great - I would buy repaints of those if all of them came out like that, especially Windblade (just Op and Drift at Warrior scale currently). She looked better like that than in her proper colours. We also have to have a Polar Claw Warrior, he was better than Steeljaw. The beast-like Decepticons are brilliant. Thunderhoof is a given, but all these designs deserve good toys.
Great stuff all round. Such a shame this series hasn't taken off, it's massively under appreciated.

I actually tried to watch season two today. I had to give up. The animation being cel shaded CGI didn't help, I find that such a turn off.
I forget, are they actually cut off from Cybertron? I couldn't work out why Prime is hanging out there still.

Not cut off, more completing a task that Prime gave Bumblebee at the start of the first season in that they need to recapture all the Decepticons that escaped from the crashed prison ship. Other characters like Jazz have been and gone back to Cybertron. Prime is there currently because season two begins in the aftermath of the battle at the end of season one, in which he showed up from the netherworld he was in post Prime to help Bee's team take on Megatronus.

The animation does look a lot better than series 1 & today was another written by the co-creator of Wolverine after his Beast Machines ep.

2/4/16 at 1900 they are showing ep 2.1 so looks like we are only getting 1-7 shown in the UK unless they are showing different episodes am & pm.
