These releases are effectively store exclusives on coloured vinyl. I bet before long they'll announce an unlimited black vinyl version along with a CD. The CD release may even be longer? TFCog's restored soundtrack runs to 3 hours 40 minutes - this LP is 45 minutes. There's a lot of music unaccounted for.

Pfff. CD's are so 1990. Vinyl is The Future.

Mine has been in the UK over a week but hasn't arrived yet. I suspect a CUTAing hold up in progress.
Next problem is finding a record player to transfer it!

I was right... £29 posted felt pretty good for this album, but a total of £41 makes it feel less worth it. And because of the bank holidays, now I've paid the ransom, it'll be Tuesday before I can get it.

Enjoy those 45 minutes! One wonders that given that the fan effort to reconstruct the soundtrack had a much longer running time whether not all of the original music elements exist/could be found or whether there will be a 'volume 2'.

The whole thing seems bizarre to me. I'm sure I heard somewhere (podcast maybe?) that the company have said there are no plans for a digital version of this, and from RFC last week we also know the version of the season one theme tune on it isn't the one used in the actual series. Given the record sold out in a couple of hours and immediately went to a repressing, you've got to question whether the manufacturers are actually paying attention to what they're doing.
I was under the impression really that both outlets that have sold this were retro vinyl specialists, so were offering the recordings through their particular niche, but that it would also get a mainstream release on CD from a normal music publisher. I still don't see why this isn't happening. I've got a record player in the loft with a USB connection for transfer, but it'll be a pain in the arse if I have to go and find it to actually transfer this. I really thought by now I'd be able to download it from iTunes.

It's a mad approach which just encourages piracy. If you can't make it easily available to buy that's when folk just yarr it.

I don't think it's worth the hassle unless you want the physical disc as a collectable. The music itself you can get from tfcog. It's great to listen to, but there's only one of the opening themes on there and even that isn't the version actually on the first season episodes.
I did record mine and make a CD, but I don't think the player I used was very good because no matter what I did with the wav files I couldn't get enough bass into it to give the sound any weight.

So the second pressing is a small limited one too. Will be scalped to buggery. No chance.

It's great to listen to, but there's only one of the opening themes on there and even that isn't the version actually on the first season episodes. Well part of the appeal is that it is a nice collectable. The other aspect is that I have banged on for years that I would like this material to be released so I would like to put my money where my mouth is. The TF Cog effort is amazing (and much more comprehensive) but I would like both. On a tangent, I regret not buying the Japanese CD boxset release of the incidental music from HM/MF/V from mid last decade. The price put me off but I have heard it yarrrrrrrrrrrr and the quality is fab. I would be all over a re-issue. -Ralph

Success!!!
And only because I was unexpectedly working from home this afternoon after a schedule change so could sit on the site when orders went live as it co-incided with me logging off from shift.
Naturally, Turn and Burn had vowed to get copies for each other if one failed.

No, that is just wasteful.
My record player broke on the very day I received Black Stone Cherry's Kentucky album on gold vinyl. It's never been listened to. It's very annoying.
I wouldn't buy this just to own it. I want to hear the music.
