Having now jumped through some eBay hoops on my modfans MP36 kit, I’ve moved onto writing the whole thing off. At the cost it’s not worth pushing any further than I have.
So that said, if anyone here is interested in the back plate to try modding it for their MP-36 (since it only properly fits the IT one), drop me a PM and I’ll pop it in an envelope.

I suppose it's going to be pretty big, but it's just a lump of plastic. 3P expense I can understand for the intricacies and mechanics of transformation, but... it's a lump of plastic.

So I got the FansProject Parallax TFX-06 Red Armor the other day for Classics Prime- www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/65630As well as the Blue Armor for Ultra Magnus (but that one hasn't arrived yet) Spurred on by them about to be replaced by Siege Optimus and Ultra Magnus, and the fact we all have a few spares of this mold laying around. I gotta say this is a pretty nifty way to revive the mold. It's not perfect, it' s a bit awkward, you do have to remove the base toy's fists (very easy surgery), and it does look a bit excessive. But it's kinda a fun way to revitalize a great toy. (Honestly, it feels more "Cybertronian" than Siege optimus) I'm repurposing mine as Ginrai. And hey, if you absorbed that weird semi-translucent Optimus in order to get the red Megatron from that amazon VS set? Totally covers up the translucent parts. |

This arrived today after a few weeks travelling from China. I remember when I first found out about this pack either last year or very early this year it ended up being £40 plus shipped to the UK. I managed to find it on ebay for £17.99 shipped, and I am very happy with the results.
Though I just realised that Highbrow's face looks all black in the photo, when it is a separate grey in person, just very dark.

Those really are nice. I'm quite tempted myself, especially for the Autobots.
After a lot of my orders apparently being stuck on a boat somewhere, a bunch turned up today, and they were all upgrades for my G2 Menasor. I must say I'm incredibly happy with the result. I already liked the toy, and granted there's the well-discussed issues with reducing leg articulation, but the overall look is so much better. I also picked up a Shapeways upgrade for Blackout, which works as an adapter to make him fit onto Menasor's chest without constantly falling off.

Yeah. I'd originally debated getting the kit, partly down to it being hard to get the G2 version, and trying to justify the cost ontop of the original boxset, but it really does make a massive difference. I love how you can peg the sword into his back as well. That's a nice touch and looks awesome.

Darn that looks awesome. Including the tools is really nice as well. I’ve had a couple of upgrades that I’ve struggled with just because the screwdrivers I had weren’t quite right.

It comes with a screwdriver, and a "pin push stabilizer" with no instructions on how to use the pin push thingie. I can find a bunch of lazy-ass people video reviewing this thing (instead of photos and writing), but no "how to install" videos. No dude! I DON'T want to watch you spend a minute talking about your son's junker optimus, and five minutes talking about the size of the box, then waffle on if you'll make a "how to" video (he didn't, because I couldn't find one). This was just the contents of part one of a multi-part review. I eventually looked up a "how to remove a pin from a transformer," and it looks simple. But I have exactly none of the tools I need to finish this. |

If it were a G2 Sideswipe, yes. But it isn't. I meed a proper toy G1 one.
I may get the G2 one anyway. He has a hole in the roof in just the right place for it

I know you're not me, but I'm not particularly plussed about guns for Sideswipe, myself. To me, he doesn't have a particularly memorable handgun (unlike Optimus or Grimlock). Any generic handgun will do. Making sure he has a shoulder rocket is more important.
But the G2 gun is memorable for me. Maybe because that's the first and only time Sideswipe has been a stand out, or memorable character?

Took another punt on the MP36 upgrade cannon after being previously sent the wrong version by an eBay seller and got the right one (purple LED, 2 sets of Frank Welker sounds). The sound quality is still pretty variable and the LED could be a richer colour but it’s still nice. Plus my youngest is enjoying the small army of Kremzeeks I now have.
Of course I now have two spare Megatron back plates, so if anyone wants one, drop me a message.

Hi guys,
I need to make use your collected wisdom.
I really want to get hold of the Transform Dream Wave upgrade kit for Volcanicus (TDW-06).
I've found an eBay seller in China (which I'm happy to order from as I got my TDW Bruticus kit (TDW-01) that way too.
Problem is despite it saying it had 2 in stock I'm now received an email saying it is a preorder.
Do any of you have any idea if it's possible to get the kit within the UK?
Aiming to spend around £60.

Nice. I'd be interested in that. Looks a good Cybertrony but still surprisingly earth-like design. Perfect for Siege! Ideally the side guns would need to be removable. And need to see what the base mode is like.
