That's definitely going to need the previous head kit, but the head kit can be used without this.

I'm getting an Action Master vibe from him. Nice...

It honestly isn't doing it for me. Being PE, it'll cost twice as much as it's QC is worth. And I also am really not digging the overall design as Optimus. (The shoulder wheels, tiny waist and torso being a giant square block)

In fairness, it isn't supposed to be Optimus Prime. It is intended to be Ginrai... :-)
Not doing a great deal for me either to be honest. But then, it is an "upgrade" for a toy that I'm not intending to pick up so... yeah...

That's brilliant. I love it, and it's a great idea. I just won't be getting it. Even for one of my Primes. I have a Trypticon to think about.
I mean wedding. Yes, wedding. Not Trypticon.

I am more tempted now than I was. Since I'll end up with the Ginrai version anyway thanks to the box set, I may as well snag this.

And here! Fab piece of kit. The TR Max handle comes away to reveal a 1987 Max peg and there's a fold down 5mm handle at the rear too. Love it. While Nick was here today we discovered the gun had a fold away stock under te weapon that could be unfolded with the handle removed!

Seeing that kit on Defensor didnt look right to me, but that looks nice. I might consider that if they do a Megatronia version.

I don't like it at all on her, but yeah... I might bite on a megatronia version.

Not having a Roadburn, or wanting the head, I am pleased to see that the pistol is available separately. A tempting purchase for Rust-Dust or someone who could do with a solid side-arm. (Actually - would do Strongarm well in place of the carbine she comes with. That feels too "SWAT" for a rookie beat-cop somehow). Karl

No hip panels, I think.

Post by Pinwig on May 13, 2017 18:23:40 GMT
Yes, it's a replacement part for the bits that become the hip panels. It alters the transformation slightly so they stay on his waist instead of hanging down the side. A much cleaner look. I am very tempted by these, but want to see a video review to be sure it all works. The original has hip panels and a big hole in the side of his waist: This one does away with that
