Worth one for the competition.
Burns reports that the current issue of the recently launched Wonder Woman series does not have a next issue, nor does it contain "EXCITING NEWS".

The stories within have been very banal despite some very nice art so not surprised it has sunk so quickly. #3 would have been my last issue anyway.
I don't tend to bother with the other Titan DC Comics as whenever I flick through one it seems to have folk being dismembered!

Ah, that explains how I could not find Supergirl. I didn't even know there had been a short-lived ongoing Flash title. I recall seeing an earlier #1 where the 'next time' page said to go pick up some other book to see what happened next so didn't buy it.
A few times I have seen 100-page special issue of DC reprints but whenever I look they tend to be in the middle of stories so no sale. When Panini do 100-page issues it's always a jumping-on point issue.
Titan's DW publishing strategy has been confusing but at least they haven't skipped stories.

Sounds like they're trying to feel for what might sell by testing the waters. Problem is I think in the more limited UK market saturation point has probably already been reached with the established Marvel books.
Would it work better if they put the bigger names together rather than separating them? Like a Flash/Arrow/Justice league book ala Marvel Legends? I bought one issue of Supergirl because I like the show, but the other two strips in it were rubbish. One strong title instead of several weaker ones which will fail?

I see that Justice League Trinity now has a FEATURING WONDER WOMAN banner so that will be where her strips go then after her comic was stealth cancelled!

They've launched a Suicide Squad title and one of the showcase titles has been rebranded as Harley Quinn for three issues. Andy Picked these up at a news outlet out of curiosity while awaiting a train, as based on the trailer I'm really looking forward to this film but know nothing about any of the characters in it. The comics are a bit of a change and provide some amusement. As they're both 3-issue mini-series I may stick with them. Martin

Perhaps Batman is not a big seller at UK newsstand?

possibly but its a shame, since they are pushing a batman solo film it seems odd to reduce the comic consistency

Might just be a case of it doesn't sell enough to be a monthly but they want to keep a Batman title on the shelf either as part of the licence with DC or so they can change the frequency later.

All-Star Batman has been launched. Two issues of ASB and one issue of Nightwing.
A decent bundle.
Bi-monthly frequency - also relaunching a Trinity book, not sure what that contains.

I looked at that and couldn't work out if it was a one off, the first issue of a new comic, or the current guise of the title they put the popular stuff in before changing it for something else a few months later
So I didn't buy it.

There is no 'next issue' page so I assumed it was a one-off so I was torn as I like Specials but it did not say the magic word of 'Special' on the cover which is the key word for Ralph buying any comic!

Oh I didn't think to look at the back. I just looked at the contents. Most of it seems to be lifted from some 75th anniversary special.

I have trained from a young age to always check for a 'next issue' page in a comic to see if it contains 'Great News' and also to check if a #1 is a proper #1 or just a Special.

Off the back of watching BvS I bought Wonder Woman #2 because it's the first three parts of a story and I'm intrigued by how Wonder Woman now seems to be a sword-wielding Xena style equivalent to Captain America and not Linda Carter wobbling about unconvincingly.
It's subject to Titan's erratic print schedule though. Looks like bi-monthly.

There now appears to be a Batman crossover title. #1 is out with the first parts of the TMNT crossover.
Naturally, it appears to be bi-monthly.

It's DC Team Up - just headling it with the first Batman/Turtles crossover and backed up by The Brave and the Bold by Waid and Perez (Issue 7 onwards as Titan have already reprinted the first six issues).
The Batman/Turtles crossover is interesting enough and very pretty.

Those Brave and the Bold issues are pre Nu52 iirc.

I see.
The boob window combined with giant boobs in the past made the character an awful overly sexualised stereotype and is even more 'WTF' in this era. Hopefully the character has better attire now. After all you don't have male characters running around with giant wangers and crotch windows!

Impulse bought current All Star Batman as it has a shiny shiny 'metal' cover. Shiny shiny covers are rare on UK newsstand title. Too late did I realise the price had been bumped up for it. £5 for a 76p comic. Yeesh.
