The dialogue in the last scene almost literally screams THIS IS THE END. The interview also confirms the licence restricts them in not being able to do stories after the telly series cliffhanger.
I think it's done now. It'd also been 4 years since the brief telly run.

Holy shit, Ralph. You absolute bastard. These are complete shite. I've just listened to The Soer's Ditch - 3.1. There's bad but enjoyable audio and there's embarrassingly poor shite that makes you feel tainted for listening to it. There's a bit in the extras on this that rings very true - the guy who plays Charlie saying that it's the post production that makes the actors sound like they know what they're doing. It's pretty clear the actors had NO idea what they were doing, and the supporting cast sound no better than a bloody school play. Worst acting I have ever heard in a BF production by FAR. If they're working on this blindly assuming post production is going to make them sound good they are COMPLETELY wrong.
Has the writer actually seen any episodes of the TV series? His characterisation of Charlie is totally wrong and the others are even more one dimensional than usual. He clearly had a tick list of things to include that make this 'sound like Class' he'd cribbed from the other audios, so the writing becomes like a copy of a copy. Degraded for the production and degrading for the listener.
God that was awful. It's rare you listen to something that actually makes you angry because it's so bad - which is made doubly worse by the fact I don't give a flying fuck about Class anyway. The fact I can actually appreciate how bad this is because I *know* Class makes my skin crawl. I don't want to know Class. I don't want to know that this is all wrong.
BURNS IS A BASTARD.
I'm going to go and have a little cry now.
