I think Brawn was seen after the Movie in the comics. I have vague memories of him either appearing in the big two-page battle scene in 'Legacy of Unicron' or strung up on the side of Autobot City in 'Space Pirates' (with Wheeljack), or both. Perhaps someone with those stories to hand can confirm/refute?
Also, Prowl was alive in the 'Rhythms of Darkness' future, even though that seemed to follow on from events very similar to the animated movie, except Galvatron had stayed in the future and killed Rodimus.

Rhythms of Darkness is the bad future. The Decepticons have won, and only Prowl, Jazz and Inferno remain alive at the end of it. Plus side, Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge end up dead or gone, so...
