These all look fab. I'm quite surprised there doesn't seem to be an Origins SDCC exclusive? I thought there was that rumoured Filmation 4-Pack. Perhaps that's for something else? I also see Toyhax are now doing label upgrades for Origins vehicles: toyhax.com/search?controller=search&s=motu |

Annoying as it is, I can kinda see this. The vintage releases are down to the last few more obscure characters, most of whom have action features that could increase the price. They aren't great for a 2024 marketing push as they're really the arse end of a line. I can see Mattel wanting to do a line relaunch, like the Snake Men was for 2023, so Filmation is 2024. In trying to do the others properly they become direct purchases, Rokkon transforms, Extendar extends, Sy-Klone has his spin. Those aren't things we're used to seeing at retail. The last few creations exclusives have hung around for an hour or two - we should be okay with this, it's just an arse about the £9 postage for them. |

It was. I assumed that those six would be wave one as this is effectively a new line, but I just had this nagging feeling we heard something ages back that there would be three Filmation figures per wave in 2024.

I'm a little deflated by these rumours that the first two origins waves for 2024 contain a straight reissue from wave 3 and two filmation repaints/remoulds of existing figures. I hope the fourth figure in those waves is a new 80s update. Seems to have been me. Must have been something I saw on Facebook. |

Price increases plus how hard these figures are to get at UK retail is bad enough, but now being Matty Creations exclusives puts them at £27 each with postage. That is me now done with any of these figures.
